Liverpool 2-0 Fulham (10.11.07)
Quote:
Liverpool run out for Rafael Benitez' 200th game in charge, four days after thrashing Besiktas 8-0 - the biggest win in Champions League history.
The Merseysiders put their unbeaten Premier League record on the line, against a Fulham side yet to win away, but one who also enjoyed their biggest win of the season last time out (3-1, home to Reading).
This is a match between the draw specialists of the Premier League; six of Liverpool's 11 league games have finished all square, and 50% of Fulham's have also ended level (six of 12).
The Cottagers were the last club to beat Liverpool in the Premier League.
Fulham are chasing back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time in 46 outings; however defeat would take the Londoners' total of losses in this league to 100.
The Craven Cottage club have never won in any competition at Anfield.

fair considering the besiktas match. torres's talent is going to waste at liverpool.. players like him should be played much more.

FT : The game was ended with 2-0 to Liverpool after the two late goals scored by Gerrard and Torres.
Another good game to Yossi Benayoun and Steven Gerrard !!

liverpool are back to winning form... this break for the national matches can only be bad for them.

Liverpool is back in form with more intensity in their play which have been absent for a while. It's so important to play the ball fast then you see they create more chances. I think Sami Hyypia was Liverpool's best player. Benayoun once again performed well. Once again I'm happy with Liverpool's performace although I became a bit frustrated yesterday over all wasted chances. But they scored at last thanks to Torres. I'm always happy aslong Liverpool create some chances and also have focus on their offensive play and not only defensive. When you have 1-0 you should go for killing the game with a second. That's my policy. You get more room to play attack when you're leading the game. Yesterday the goal came late so Liverpool didn't get much room against a defensive team.

Yossi Benayoun is to undergo a scan on an adductor injury which could keep him out of Israel's clash with Russia next week...
