that definitely wasn't offside from Carew just then, and if the defender made contact (couldn't really tell) it could have been a red.
Villa are dominating this half but Liverpool have had the best chances.

Gardner and Carew have been fantastic in this second half for Villa.
The commentators on Star Sports keep going on about how the Liverpool defenders aren't even going for headers with Carew anymore 
Babel has looked very good since coming on though, beginning to change my opinion of him...

I don't f'n believe it. Free kick awarded - an why? Because it's Steven Gerard who appeals for it. The ref had no intention of giving it until the arms went into the air. 2-1
