According to Chris Bascombe in Liverpool Echo Liverpool paid £18M for Torres, so the new transfer record is on £18M.Liverpool sold Luis Garcia for cheap (£2.3M) because of the 'low' Torres price.

Torres' profile is already becoming more pronounced as a result of the Reds' tour of the Far East.
The club are in Hong Kong today ahead of a friendly match against South China FC later today, before two more friendlies to be played against local opposition and a match against Dutch side Feyenoord.

An interesting topic might be how many goals will he get next season? Which is hard to judge as some are overating him and some think he is more overated than Jesus.
In my opinion he won't get 25 goals, I'd say 15 goals if he has a decent season.

He'll struggle in the first half of the season I think to find his feet in the premiership, I think Pat's prediction is fairly accurate.

I think Torres had a good game against Villa and the partnership with Kuyt looked promising.He was real close to score his first offical Liverpool goal.He got subsituted after 74 minutes.
