I've never witnessed a Premier League season with so many boring games. It's scary.

This one was a real nightmare. All players from both teams should be ashame. They didn't bother to run.All looked careless.Where is the attitude?Football is about scoring goals and entertain. Not this shit performance.

Liverpool has such a great defence, blessed with so many midfield options but need a real quality striker.

I don't understand why I watched this game.

Yeah Liverpool definitely need a quality striker because it seems that in the past few games even tho they have dominated they have not been able to score.

thank fuck for mothers day, it meant i saved a coach trip, cold weather and thirty quid for a ticket to watch that dross. i feel cheated that i actually wasted two hours of my life watching a) the match and b) the pundits trying to find some interesting things to talk about afterwards.
yeah its great that we are so well organised at the back and that we can keep clean sheets, but so can Chelsea and Manchester Utd, and they'd have done that whilst still managing to rip Villa apart at the other end. there wasnt one period in that game where it looked like we were gonna score. we just plodded along, going through the motions and treading water. no one had any drive or ambition in possession, no one looked sharp, no one looked like they cared to be honest. it was like one of those dead rubber games on the last day of the season, and both sides should be embarrassed, they should each donate the point they "earnt" to Comic Relief.

I think that was pretty much the worst performance of the season!
The amount of stray passes when under no pressure at all...abissmal!
When he brought Alonso on for Sissoko I thought, things will probably get better now...but then he took Bellamy off for Pennant...
Bellamy, the only player who seemed to be able to create some sort of danger with his pace. With him AND Pennant there might have been a couple of good chances. Anyway, atleast Arsenal and Bolton both lost, so it was still effectively a point gained.

Kuyt plays to deep.I really got pissed off when I saw Kuyt playing right winger for a time. All Liverpool think about is a clean sheet. They have to attack with more players. They didn't looked dangerous at all yesterday. We got a bit better when Pennant come on because he's the only player who tries to go around a defender and Fowler almost did it...At least he's in the box opposite from Kuyt...

Carragher voted star man v Aston Villa
Quote:
Jamie Carragher was voted Liverpool's best player during the goalless draw with Aston Villa by the fans who took part in an exclusive vote on this website.
Meanwhile Daniel Agger won the Liverpoolfc.tv Man of the Match award.
After each game we ask you to pick the Reds' top three players - and we'll pick ours too.
The winner of each poll then gets three points, the runner-up gets two and the third best player gets one. At the end of the season the points are totted up to reveal our star performer.
Liverpoolfc.tv's top three players v Aston Villa
1. Daniel Agger. Won almost everything in the air and was very good with his distribution.
2. Jamie Carragher. Consistency personified, Carragher won his battle with powerful Villa striker John Carew.
3. Steve Finnan. Mr Dependable, Finnan always gives 100 per cent and is having another outstanding season.
Liverpool fans' top three players v Aston Villa
1. Jamie Carragher. 862 votes.
2. Javier Mascherano. 459 votes.
3. Daniel Agger. 324 votes.

carragher didnt really win his battle with carew..
carragher had support, yet carew quite often held up the ball and tried to create...
our wingers and midfield not supporting was the main reason carew, while our best player on the day, wasnt amazingly brilliant...
when berger came on and supported the attack, carew set him up a couple of times for a few shots that a player of bergers quality, should have done better with...

Gabby and Young have to be better to follow up the balls Carew wins in the air. With such much pace in attack you should create more chances. You were the home team...Had only one real good chance on 90 minutes. That chance should have ended up with a penalty though.
