Degen is signed to add depth to the squad and he cost nothing.
Krancjar would be a good signing, i'd like to see him on the left though, he's not a winger, he's a playmaker. Babel would be better on the right too. If this move got Crouch out of Liverpool i'd definitly go for it!
Riera is awful, definitly don't want him.
Downing is good, vastly over-rated though, and not worth the asking price.
Mihaylov is unlikely to leave. Itandje can go.

Babel will not be better on the right as he likes to go in the centre and take a shot with his right foot. If he plays on the right he will get lesser opportunities to do that and he will get in positions where he has do use his left foot he don't have more often... And he ain't exactly a crosser wing. I would rather have him up front.

Liverpool are planning a bid for Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik.
The Daily Mail says the Slovakia international is on Reds boss Rafa Benitez's shopping list.
When asked about the Liverpool reports Hamsik told Pravda: "Really? That is absolute nonsense. I don't know anything about travelling to Liverpool on Sunday.
"It is still valid that I would prefer to stay at Napoli. At the moment I am not thinking about any other possibility."

Liverpool are releasing three of their young academy players. Mattone Awang, winger Ben Parsonage and striker Michael Collins have been cut loose by the Merseyside giants. Shane O'Connor and Michael Scott will stay on at the Academy next season as third year players.

Another ridiculous post.
When he plays on the right, he drives past defenders and whips balls across the box. He'll be more productive on the right, as he's better on the right. Think Andrei Kanchelskis, knock it past the defender, destroy him for pace, whip a shot or cross low across the area.
Anyway, with Rafa looking at Bentley and Krancjar, Babel will prob be on the bench.
Hamsik would be a great replacement for Alonso. Wonderfully talented player.

Liverpool close in on Dossena - Sky Sports
Udinese defender Andrea Dossena is close to agreeing a move to Liverpool, according to reports in Italy.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is on the lookout for a left-back to bolster his squad as it is expected John Arne Riise is set to leave Anfield this summer.
Tottenham are also chasing £9million-rated Dossena's signature and it is understood that the North London club had a bid rejected in the January transfer window.
However, it is rumoured that Udinese sporting director Pietro Leonardi recently flew to England to discuss a possible transfer with Liverpool.
The Reds, though, would face a battle to land 26-year-old Dossena as Serie A giants Juventus are also seeking close-season reinforcements.
Dossena, who has made one appearance for Italy, has played 63 games for Udinese since joining from Treviso in 2006 and he has scored two goals in that time.

Juventus up their interest in Xabi - Sky Sports
Juventus are believed to have stepped up their interest in Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso by flying to England to hold talks over the transfer.
Reports emanating from Italy claim Juventus director general Jean-Claude Blanc has flown to Liverpool to discuss a deal for Alonso.
Juve have been linked with the classy Spaniard for some time, and now the Turin giants are ready to make an increased effort to lure him away from Anfield.
Alonso has suggested he was happy to stay at Liverpool, but he could be forced to rethink his position if Reds boss Rafa Benitez decides to listen to offers for the player.
It is believed the two clubs are in advanced talks about the move, but they have so far failed to agree a price with Liverpool holding out for £14million for the former Real Sociedad man.
However, Juventus are confident they can reach a compromise with Liverpool to see Alonso link up again with former Reds team-mate Mohammed Sissoko in Turin.
-----------------------------------------------
Could be a good move for everyone involved. We'd get 14 million for a player who might have gotten as good as he's going to get.
Xabi would get a fresh start in a league more suited to his wonderful passing
And it might leave us free to go for Hamsik as Juve seem to be the other team interested in him.

Youngster Flattered By Anfield Link - Sky Sports
Grenoble youngster Sofiane Feghouli has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Liverpool.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best young players in France after helping Grenoble win promotion to Ligue 1 this season.
Scouts from a host of clubs have watched Feghouli in action this season and Grenoble are bracing themselves for a fight to keep hold of their prize asset.
Ajax are also thought to be interested in Feghouli, but the teenager believes he is too young to move abroad.
"The interest of those great clubs is flattering. But my priority is to go on to improve in France, above all at Grenoble," Feghouli told L'Equipe.
"I try to keep level-headed. For the moment, the best is to stay here. Only an offer from a big Ligue 1 club could make me think about (leaving

Any move to Juventus for Xabi Alonso will depend on Liverpool convincing Aston Villa to sell their captain Gareth Barry. The Sun says Juve had director general Jean-Claude Blanc in Merseyside yesterday to try and broker a deal for the 26-year-old Spanish midfielder. But the Anfield club will not do business unless Juve meet their asking price. And if they fail to tempt Aston Villa into selling Gareth Barry, they will knock the deal on the head entirely.

Juventus are set to clinch a deal for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso next week.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Juventus director Jean-Claude Blanc met with Rafael Benitez yesterday for four hours and that the two clubs have agreed in principal to the transfer.
Juventus have reportedly offered £10 million for the Spain international - £5 million below Liverpool's valuation - but it is believed a deal will soon be concluded, with Alonso keen to play in Italy.

Alonso goes, we don't need Barry either way. Gerrard and Lucas are more than capable of playing that role. And we've been linked with Hamsik who's a natural replacement.
