Joaquin waiting on approach from Real Madrid
It have been some rumours lately that Liverpool are in for Joaquin and Liverpool was preparing a bid in a region of £12 mill including Dudek,Zenden and Barragan.Ricky Parry have today denied this speculation and Joaquin's agent have told that the player himself is waiting on an approach from Real Madrid. The negiotations with Sevilla on Daniel Alves have stall and Bentiez is looking for other options in the right winger position.Joaquin can still be a target but is not very likely at the moment. It's seems certain that Bentiez will buy a player in this position this summer+another striker.

Trabelsi seems to be Rafas new target at rightback, although i've heard Paletta can play at rightback.
So Alves, Simao and Jaoquin seem to be the targets for the rightwing. I think i'd rather go with Paletta(if he's good enough), and Gerrard on the right, and buy a top class striker.

----------------------Reina----------------------
Paletta---Carragher---Agger-------Riise
Gerrard---Alonso------Sissoko--Gonzalez
-------------???????----Bellamy--------------
Looks good. Some1 like Torres would make that a great team.

I think it's pretty obvious that Rafa's looking to replace him mate, just being realistic.

Why? Alves was touted as a right winger by some people.
Finnan was one of the best right backs in Europe last season.
Trabelsi is muck.
Yes, Torres would make it a potentially great team. But I think you could get better partner for Bellamy, cheaper.

Trabelsi is brilliant, one of the best rightbacks in the world.
Alves is better at rightback than at rightmidfield. Like Carlos, he prefers to attack from very deep.

Trabelsi has always flattered to deceive. He was shit at the ACN and shit at the WC and marginally improved in his club form, altho never as good as he was 2 years or so ago.
Not every player your linked with is the best at what they do and it is only very small rumour that suggests your linked with Trabelsi.
No doubt if you didn't sign him and Rafa said he'd had no interest, you'd jump off his cock quicker than God knows what.

i dont think it is, Rafa signed kromkamp last season and Finnan was miles above his level, as good a right back as there is in the world, and has proven it in the Champions League, where he has been our most consistent performer, along with Carragher.
have faith in Stevie Finnan, Rafa will

definitely. and bear in mind how hard it is to stand out as a full back.......up against class wide players week in week out. finnan would have been my player of the season for Liverpool last season, his performance level never dropped below an 8, except in the cup final.

Listen rentboy, we dont all act the way you do.
Trabelsi is proven quality, and some1 Rafa has been linked with for quite some time. Whether we sign him or not, he's still one of the best rightbacks in the world.

Nonsense. Carra, Riise, Reina, Gerrard, Momo, and Xabi, all significantly better than Finnan last season.
Finnan is good, has been excellent for the last 2 seasons but he doesn't offer anything going forward and Rafa wants his fullbacks to be an attacking option as well as strong defensively.

right, mr benitez's spokesman....
momo was nowhere near him, not even close.....his start to the season was piss poor, he only sorted his performances out after his suspension once he was sent off up at sunderland. he got better as the season went on, but wasnt exceptional. oh, and speaking of not being an attacking threat.....
Riise was much improved, but still made more mistakes than Finnan and was vulnerable against real class wingers.....FA Cup semi springs to mind, and in the final he was woeful.
Reina did brilliantly in a debut season, i grant you that, he kept a record number of clean sheets- as did the defence....including Finnan. but again he made mistakes that cost goals- Birmingham away, Chelsea semi final, Bolton away to name but three.
Alonso was not significantly better, he was excellent, but didnt do his job any better than Finnan did his.
Gerrard saved us with crucial goals, he destroyed lesser sides- birmingham, sunderland, newcastle- but his form was generally up and down, and even my red tinted glasses can see that. one month he was amazing, the next anonymoys, do you remember Chelsea away, United away, Arsenal away, Everton at home?
cant argue with Carragher

Finnan improved last season. No question about it.He deserve at this moment to be nr 1 right back.Jan Kromkamp can be on his way back to his home country this summer where Ajax have been mentioned. If Benitez choose to let him go then they have to buy a replacement.
