Lampard's shot technique is excellent, he almost always connects cleanly. i have to say that.

He mite connect cleanly but that's not much good if 3 out 4 shots are more threatening to the corner flag than the keeper.

lampard was crap at the world cup...

pisspoor work rate, pisspoor passing, pisspoor movement and pisspoor shooting...

NO ONE could argue with that and have any credibility....

Lamps isn't over confident...if anything he looked on the verge of a nervous break down, he'd bury at least 4 of the chances he had with England, playing for Chelsea this season.

He had a couple of long range shots each game...quite good accuracy, rarely any better options on...such was the frustration for me.

Gerrard was probably more a team player....but he was asked to be remember.

The idea that he didn't get proper contact is, of course nonsense. If that was true his accuracy is astonishing.

No doubt Lampard was average...but certainly very few players weren't. His work rate was still good, he covered a lot of ground indeed, his movement was good enough to get him into 5 or 6 excellent shooting oppertunities, which he fluffed...cos he was a bit shit.

I think that Lampard's place in the Chelsea team could well be under threat this coming season. A move away wouldn't be out of the question.......especially if Barca come calling.
