Aaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhh !!!!

I wanted us to buy Bellamy. He's a quality player with a bit of a gobshite reputation, but there's never any harm in having a piece of nastiness in you.

He'll be fantastic for Liverpool, linking up with Gerrard, and I can see him score more than 20 goals a season if he stays injury free.

Great signing ye scouse bastards !

havent seen too much of him tbh, i hear good things about him. but you can never tell how a foreign player will adjust to a new league. as long as he can defend he will be a welcome acquisition, if he's a typical Brazilian full back a la Roberto Carlos, then he wont make it at Liverpool.

hes brazlain so you got to expect forward minded player but hes not like carlos or cilcinho. very good free kick taker very strong and has done well for valencia.

he be a great signing mate. but agree it only depend if he can adapt to english football.

that deal for Aurelio is done, but i think he'll come in as back-up for Riise.

Don't think we'll sign a centreback, Agger should be ready soon and he's gonna be an amazing defender.

Alves is likely to arrive to play rightback, So Alves-Carragher-Agger-Riise as the defense, obviously Reina will be in goal. Stevie-Momo-Xabi-Speedy looks set to be the midfield for next year. Bellamy will be one striker, i expect another, possibly a very big name signing.

It would indeed. He's been great over the last two years, but Alves is better.

I've been hearing rumours that if Van Nistelrooy goes to Munich, we'll move for Makaay and Bayern would apparently be willing to sell having already signed Podolski, to go with Santa Cruz and Pizarro.

Makaay and Bellamy...I think you could do one step better than Makaay.

What's your dislike with Makaay?? He's pure class and amazingly consistant. As a pure goalscorer, he mite be the best in the world.

No, as a pure goalscorer, Ruud is.

I just don't see him regaining that top quality he once had....but I imagine you've seen much more of him than I have.

Look mate, I respect your opinion a great deal, so I believe you if you think he's still got it....but the handful of times I've seen him recently he's been very average and looked over the hill.

I don't see him offering a GREAT deal more than Robbie and he'll never work as hard for the cause or be as good off the pitch for the club. He'll also demand a large wage.

No, Makaay is more of a pure goalscorer than Ruud. Ruud is the king of the tap-in and the penalty, but Makaay is a much better goalscorer.

I watch a lot of german football, and particularly Bayern, and for me, Makaay has been brilliant and would be great for us, but we all have different ideas on what would fit our teams.

This is the same as your Carragher argument - the Dutch national coach doesn't believe you.

Van Basten fell without Makaay cos Makaay questioned his coaching credentials.

Makaay is quicker, better in the air, more powerful and stronger with both feet than Ruud. He's also a better team player.
