There was a hint of good fortune yes. But how many teams would have managed the same. And how many teams would have gone and scored a second straight away?

FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER, variously described and derided as 'brave rebels', 'irrelevant outsiders' and 'a right bunch of dicks'. Living testament to that peculiarly Mancunian talent for gazing at the world in all it's wonder, thinking for a minute, and then muttering "Nah that's bollocks. This is how we'll do it..."

OH OH OOH! It's Carrick you know! Hard to believe it's not Scholes!

Exactly, so were we lucky to score 2 very late Brucey goals to beat Sheff Wed in 1994 ?

Were we lucky to score 2 very late goals to beat Liverpool in the FA Cup in our Treble season ?

The answer is no because Man United have an irrepressible belief to fight to the end of every game.

Any other side that had the same sort of luck. You were outplayed in that game, out done tactically more than anything. Then the ball runs perfectly for you in 2 isolated incidents in 2 minutes.

It's just the way the cookie crumbles. If you had fought back valiantly with great football and a well worked goal or 2 then I wouldn't be saying you got lucky.

Considering we played a Bayern Munich team with our 2 best players suspended, I think the guts and determination to win that match shone through in Man United's team.

Even though you were out-thought, outplayed and got lucky.

I'm not questioning the validity of Utd's glory in the Champions League. I'm just saying they got lucky.

Heinze was entirely disregarding the glory of Arsenal getting to a CL final, essentially writing it off as an achievement atall. I'm certainly doing no such thing.

We weren't outplayed or out-thought. Both sides were really poor and both sides were missing arguably their two most important players.

We didn't 'get lucky', we showed, as we had shown the whole season, amazing mental strength and incredible determination.

So the fact their only goal in the match was scored through a freekick won by a Eboue like dive?

Getting to a CL Final means nothing if you don't win it.

And we've won 2 out of 2.

Arsenal have won 0 out of 1.

Chelsea have won 0 out of 0.

And a dipper will more than likely post their CL achievement next.........

When arsenal went down, they didnt have the same belief we had. We had tired legs too and we were missing our two most influensive players in Keano and Scholes. We also played Giggs in a different role.

Look at 2003 when we played Real, even though after Beckham scored twice, there was a belief from United players they may come back after taking a 4-3 lead but Beckham just didnt get that free kick rite. You never give up, this is something english teams need to understand in europe.

Never giving up is something that I love about Manchester United. No matter what the score, we always battle to the bitter end.

And a football match lasts for 90 minutes. Scoring in the 1st or last minute is irrelevant. It's scoring more goals than your opponent that matters.

Lol....I can't argue against this amount of emotion.

Thats because Arsenal went down in the last 10 minutes...when they were down to 10 men....when they were done for and Barca were still fresh...with new substitutes.

The fact that you were missing your 2 key midfielders was key as to why you were outplayed in the final though.

they way you go on you'd swear United were the only team to ever make a good comeback.

Our comebacks against Olympiakos and Milan were far more impressive than yours against Madrid and Munich.
