Default newcastle v liverpool

Kirkland
Otsemboor Hypia Biscan Traore
Murphy Hamman Gerrard Smicer
Heskey Pongolle

I can't see myself winning as we have very little firepower upfront especially if Kewell can't play. The combined EPL goals by the front six = ??? If after the praise he got he doesn't play Ostemboor then he might aswell look for another club. But it could be a difficult match in which to make an imoression but I hope he plays fantastic and keeps the jersey until Finnan's return.

The team when everyone is fit should be

Kirkland
Finnan Hencho Hypia Carrragher
Smicer Gerrard Hamman Kewell
Owen Baros

Pongolle,Smicer,Dudek,LeTallec, Vignal

Alright then we all heard GH say its time for those to face his wrath, So lets see what happens for the next match and then lets see how this ....would you mind me saying coksuker.....totally misses the boat by selecting those arze lickers who are costing 40k plus a week and are making sure it takes another three decades of rebuilding to say "its being 30 years since Bolton, Portsmouth, Charlton & Co have beaten LFC"

Perhaps a god for crewe - I guess you enjoy having players who continually give the ball away . . .

Painful performance, but the result was good. Given the injuries to Kewell/Owen, it was always going to be tough, so a draw was the best I hoped for.

Quick thoughts:
- Questionable decision to take Pongolle off. Injury? Must have been, because why else would you take off your only scoring threat?
- Smicer up front with Heskey on the wing. Que? It was basically 4-6-0.
- Otsemobor will be a very good fullback. He was at fault for Ameobi's first-half chance (was sitting to far back and played him onside), and for the penalty (let his man race past him without moving), but he's young and he'll learn. Showed me that he has what it takes to be a genuine EPL fullback.
- Kirkland was brilliant.
- Riise was better defensively than offensively. Yeah, hard to believe.
- Hamann was brilliant.
- Hyypia was brilliant.

All in all, a gutsy performance and a good result. Hard to watch, but can't complain given the circumstances.

That Newcastle side is nowhere near as good as us. As soon as Kewell and Owen get back, and (please god) if w have no more injuries, then we'll go on a bit of a run. I can feel it.

Smicer lone run up front gets into area and just fails to curl hi foot around the ball enough!

lol, what a tactic by the scousers, pongole alone up front with shitskey on the right newcastle spent most of the match inside liverpools box, one decent strike and they would have won

but seriously, the tactick was based around long passes to pongole who was alone against the newcastle deffence... has houllier some sort of damage which keeps him from thinking logic?

Stevie G was a bit annonymous to be honest , I dont think Heskey or anyone really knew where he was supposed to be playing. Murphy should be loaned back to Crewe as soon as possible , and Mr Diouf should learn to feckin welly the ball when in the right back position rather than try and take the entire opposing team on !
