Reds moving for Itandje?
Despite already having two top class goalies at the club, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Lens goalkeeper Charles Itandje.
21-year-old Itandje, who has become a first team regular for the French side since the departure of former shot stopper Guillaume Warmuz to Arsenal, is also reportedly
a target for Spurs.
Itandje, who has made 12 appearances for Lens this season, has already experienced a taste of Anfield life, after undergoing a trial in the early stages of his career.
It is believed that Houllier’s close links with Patrice Bergues, former Red’s coach and Lens Technical Director, will give Liverpool the edge in any transfer negotiations.
Itandje is currently under contract at Lens until 2005.
