if owen goes
Needs to look like this
Kirkland / Dudek
Finnan H&H Carragher
Mendietta Gerrard Hamann Kewell
Baros ?
? = Owens replacement - Ciise? Beattie? Saha? Mellor perhaps, you tell me as we
need a 15 EPL goal a year man and I have my doubts Ciise & others can do that.
Dudek / Kirkland, Melberg or Barry, Diouf, Murphy, Pongolle or Mellor
Mellor in the right hands has scored more goals for youth / reserves than any striker
LFC has ever produced. To cast him aside now because he did not shine via a
handfull of appearances in some Cup games / sub appearances / West Ham would
be shameful. God forbid if we had the same outlook when Rush came along from
Chester City as he too did not look like much in his first few games.

If we have to sell Owen this summer then what do you honestly think we will get for him. For my first thought is 20m as his Royal Arseness went to Madrid for 23m approx. But then you reconsider Mike's injuries, he is in his last year of contract, his potential in a good side might
be great but his best tally ever is 19 league goals so the likes of AC, Inter, Juve, Real, Barca & Co already have that quality in stock. If his present form continues and he ends scoring about 15 for the year then I can only hope we get 15m plus for him at best
You have to wonder what sort of club allows their best asset valued around 35m - 40m only 18 months ago being potentially sold for less than 50% his value.

No, I personally Stevie G is the main man behind the scenes. We will no doubt bring Cisse in and if (and possibly so) we sell Heskey we could bring a defender like Phillipe Mexes in (hopefully :x )

He's not going to INTER, I think Juve or Milan might make a move on him, if he chooses not to stay with Liverpool. I can't see him going to any other EPL team, other than Chelsea.

I do not think anyone could replace Michael Owen's place in Liverpool sqaud......maybe they should consider taking in another playmaker.....someone who has the abilities of Zidane......and buy Robinho, the young prolific striker from Santos.
