Hanuma this may surprise you but there is better football up north, outside of 'the city'.

Show me one time this season that there was a great open match between these two teams? And tell me why on earth Liverpool would change a succesful formula in Europe?

so much for dominating the half. Not looking good for Pool. Lets see if they can pull some more "horseshoes" out of their ass.

Good riddance, fed up of boring football and good to see all the attacking teams left in the champions league now. Great 8 teams left now.
Dippers really need a world class striker in the summer Dirk Kuyt maybe the answer and a winger like Simao.

Interesting to see that the two teams that knocked us out have seen off anyother two British sides. Makes pur performance look a little less rubbish.

To be fair Lille were shite and a decent side would of turned over Villarreal. As it was despite us being utter wank in europe we still beat Benfica 2-1 at home and lost 2-1 away in one of the worst performances you'll ever see.

we didnt deserve to go through over the 2 legs, we didnt have the heart for the fight last night, we looked jaded and benfica kept the ball better than us, and coped with our "strikers" easily.
no complaints, the better side is through. but it aint the end of the world. onwards and upwards.
also, benfica's away support were the best ive seen (and heard) at anfield ever. a few of them came into the arkles pub before the game and were laughing around, swapping badges etc with the home fans. good luck to them.

Even if we got through, I doubt we would've got far, our striker-problem has gotten to a point that even miralces won't work anymore...so dissapointed with the striker ...It might be beneficial that we got our of the comp earlier then we can focus on getting 2nd place at ealst in the EPL this season...
