its not ridiculous because you need a big squad with SQUAD players.

and im sure stelios would rather have 20 games for liverpool playing in the champions league and at anfield....instead of rotating with okocha, nolan and speed at bolton.

on nunez....i think he has potential still....looks driven (and not into a wall).

nah i aint budging on this one, stelios can stay at bolton. the very fact that he rotates with players like nolan speed and okocha shows you that he isnt good enough for liverpool.

nunez deserves at least half a season more because it is hard to say someone isnt good enough after 12 months in a new country, but if he hasnt improved by january (or may at latest) then he should be shipped out.

I agree with you on both counts. Stelios always seems to score important goals but good enough for Liverpool? I just dont think so.
Wasnt Nunez out with an injury for a few months? He needs one more season to find his feet then we can judge. He is a class player, say what you like and class never goes, only form!

Let stelios stay at bolton he will only become another smicer I thought we were going to bring in class players with proven ability? so far all we seem to be linked with are players who are either out of contract or on a "free" we need to try and compete with the "big three" if we are serious about mounting a challenge for the title. the likes of stelios, and zenden are only good enough as squad players for LFC in my opinion we need to be in the hunt for the likes of wright -philips for a start...come on Messers moore/parry you promised us big signings this summer now is the time to give rafa the money to buy the players he wants.

well you dont have the money to compete with the really big money clubs.

but you have enough money for some major signings.

you wont be neer the title for a few seasons...but certainly rafa is the man with the plans to get you to that stage.

lets say you have a transfer budget of 20 million this season that should be enough to get you on level terms with manchester utd.

if you then get a further 30 million next season then you can talk about titles.

on his day i think stelios could do a good job for liverpool....but not on a consistent basis. just worth keeping around.....as it is this story is ****e.

think about the wages stelios would be on at us, and not playing regularly. it aint worth it to sign him, our squad players should be the kids and younger players, who arent eating up our wage bill.
