Reds target Rosicky set for January Dortmund exit
Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is eyeing a January swoop for Tomas Rosicky following a fall out between the player and Borussia Dortmund.
The tricky Czech Republic midfielder has long been a target of Houllier's and he is watching the cash crisis at the German club with interest.
He asked the player's agent, who also looks after Reds duo Vladimir Smicer and Milan Baros, to keep him abreast of developments.
Rosicky's days in Germany could now be numbered after he was asked to accept a 20% pay cut along with the rest of the squad after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.
The Czech star said: "Nobody here is happy at the proposals and the atmosphere is not very good at the moment. The club says if the players do not agree to the demands they'll have to sell. I expect my name features on that agenda."
Rosicky is rated at £7m which means Houllier might have to offload before he can buy, rather than dip into the war chest which is supposed to remain shut until Auxerre hot-shot Djibril Cisse is available next season.
