Default Houllier's buys are good for once

Does anyone else agree that Houllier has bought well for the first time in ages?

Lets face it, he was having a 1 in 3 or 4 success rate of buying players that made the 1st team.

Yeah, I agree with you. This time he has got it right.

What is different this time is that, he has bought proven premiership quality that should go straight into the first team.

Lets hope Liverpool can improve them and they can improve Liverpool!

Yeah absolutely,

I get the impression that it has been a steep learning curve for Houllier, he must have come into the premiership assuming that what worked in France would work in England. And I reckon that if LFC were a French side, we would have won the French title a few times by now.

Now he knows to listen to the fans and buy players for this market.

We are still a player or two short though, and he hasn't really spread the net, he seems intend on bringing in Cisse, who IMO we don't need

We do need another striker though? Maybe not Cisse, but someone to replace Heskey.

Disagree that we need another striker, we have Owen who is world class, Baros and Dioufy who will be world class and Sinama-Pongolle who IMO will be better than Henry. We need to get rid of Heskey but we don't need to replace him. Le Tallac can play up front as well.

Yeh in terms of strikers i think we have the depth we dont need another one just need to sell Heskey but i think he's realised Owen and Baros will be the best combination this season. More attacking football- about bloody time but i still dont like Smicer he should have sold him about 2 seasons ago.
