I'd like to see Smith and Heskey get a full 90 together sometime. I reckon they'd work well together, but that's never going to happen - would be far better than Smith and Owen IMO.

Why? How many nippy little strikers do we seriously need? Heskey has far more to offer Smith's game than Owen IMO.

Truth is, Smithy wont get back in.
Eriksson is taking 4 strikers with him:
Owen is a shoe-in

Heskey may have been in down but was in good form against Rovers so he will be in.

Beattie will ge the call.

And it would have been between Defoe and Smithy and i think Sven's decision against Sweden to bring Defoe on in the striker position shows his intent...

There is no doubting that Alan SMith is one of the best young english players playing in the premiership at the moment but his temprament and disciplinary problems are the reason why he wont be going but IMO i would take him because i think England will need him.
