Here, Here Bro!
Welcome to Talksoccer, I don't remember speaking to you before. Hopefully we can have many discussions about the mighty whites!
Starting with Kids: I don't have any! Sorry. But when I do, they will be LUFC through and Through without a doubt.
First Team: Brilliant start to the season, granted. But, I feel that we shouldn't have ever got in this mess in the first place; I appreciate that were finally climbing out of this low ebb. I feel that the team Dennis Wise has assembled is very promising; When he first came to the club, i wasn't too optimistic. But, he has grafted and gradually built a side capable of attacking and stylish football.
Beckford, Kandol and Carole are three players that i particularly enjoy praising. In Beckford, we baught a promising player, but he went off the boil and people started to doubt him. However, he's now our to goalscorer and a player that i love to watch. I feel that he is destined for higher things; Whether it is with Leeds United, however, we'll have to see.
Kandol was another player who many had doubts about. He had been dwelling in the lower league of English football for a while, and then he joined us. Congrats to our coaching staff, because they have really worked with him, and he has been very effective up front.
Carole has been at the club for a while now. He used to just be a squad player, but he has proved himself when given an opportunity and i like that. He's now one of the first names on the team sheet, and who can argue? I like his style and pace down the right; He offers the attack another dimension. (Imagine how the defenders feel trying to cope with the pace of Beckford and the Strength and aerial threat of kandol, then Carole joins the party! I'm sure the phrase 'off balance' has never been more appropriate!)
Promotion: I think it's in our hands. I hate to keep going on about the 15 point deduction, but we would have been 12 points clear. Regardless, Being 3rd isn't so bad either. Were easily the best equipt squad in league 1, so the only thing that will affect us, in my opinion, is ourselves. If we can avoid conplacency (Which I think wobbly eyes will) then we should finish up top of the league.
At the end of the day, all the 'ifs' and 'buts' mean nothing; We have to look at ourselves as we are. We have worked hard and are now well within contention for an automatic promotion spot. If we keep up the good work then we will be OK. I think Wise will get it right.
Marching on Together.....
