Default Can Leeds win League One outright?

They have definately started out the season on fire. Even with the 15 point penalty they are only 6 back of the leaders. It seems to me that the board has decided to start the return to the Prem right now with the first step being winning League outright and then taking care of the LC next year.

I think they will promote this season. A clean sheet team is a winning team.

Well, they just had their season-starting unbeaten streak snapped at Carlisle, who now lead League One.

Leeds' single defeat was away to Carlisle, a game which we dominated. We have more than enough quality to get promoted, i just depents on whether we can maintain our form. We bounced back from defeat with a 3-1 win, away from home, which shows our heart as a team. Perhaps this mentality could prove crucial if we wish to get automatic promotion.

Prediction, I think Leeds will get promoted this season. We're a big fish in a small pond.

I think that even if we're not promoted automatically we will win the play-offs (our away form has been better than most team's home form)...fingers crossed though

Well, promoted is about as slight of a formality as I can think of. Find three sides better. Right now Leeds are only 3 points behind Carlisle with Orient and Forest in between. When I started this thread they were just out of the drop zone. So in a very short time they are looking like they are not just going to win the League outright but do it in a runaway.

Can't see it being a runaway, but will be over the moon if we do win it. Party On

Welcome to the forum, Johnny.

From my nice little perch across the pond, I would love to see Leeds get back into the Prem. Even being a competitive side in the LC would be nice, better than last years debacle, to be sure. But there's some teams in the Prem that got no right being there. Derby for starters, and how Wigan has stuck around mystefies me. And of all people, Plymouth Argyle is poised to make a good run at promotion. If they get into the Prem, that's definately wrong.

See, the way I look at it, there's teams that should be at the top because they have earned the right. Then there's teams that sort of split time between the Prem and the LC, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Sheffield United, the like. Then there's teams that make a run occasionally and manage to get the brass ring. That's Derby, Wolverhampton. And then there teams that get bought up by some rich bloke who throws money into the club like he's printing it himself. As soon as he gets tired of his shiny toy they drop. Like Watford when Elton John owned them, and pretty soon Mohammed Al Fayed is gonna get fed up, trying to prove the government killed his son, and leave Britain, probably for Canada and what will happen to Fulham is anyone's guess. Ditto Auto Glass Boy and Wigan.

Leeds belong in the Prem. Pure and simple. And I hope they get back soon.
