Leeds boss Dennis Wise says a mystery player leaked the starting line-up to Crystal Palace before kick-off at Elland Road on Saturday.

Wise's relegation strugglers kept a toe-hold in the Championship with a 2-1 win, but a much-improved Leeds display was overshadowed by the manager's furious post-match outburst.

"It was a fantastic result for us, but unfortunately I'm very disappointed," Wise said.

"One player gave my team to the opposition at my football club and I found that out.

"It disappoints me immensely and I told the players before, and he won't be playing for this football club again."

"It's as simple as that because I can't have that. "This what you sometimes have to deal with. That player's not going to play for this football club.

"I spoke to the players and it hurts a lot and they responded for me and I'm chuffed to bits with them.

"Also, the player in question said a couple of other things and it's not acceptable.

"I found this out today, about 1pm. I don't want to go into it anymore, but it's only right to say something about something as disappointing as that."

Agent denies Derry leak

Shaun Derry's agent has denied that the midfielder is the Leeds United mole, whilst calling on Dennis Wise to publicly confirm the identity of the accused player.

Following Saturday's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, Wise insisted that an unnamed player will never appear for the Yorkshire side again after claiming details of his team were leaked to the opposition.

Fingers have been pointing at Derry by virtue of the fact that he used to play for The Eagles and missed the game at the weekend due to injury.

However the player's agent Phil Smith has vehemently denied that his client is the man responsible for Wise's unprecedented actions.

Furthermore, after Derry became the first player to clear his name, Smith has called on the Leeds boss to end speculation by revealing the identity of the mystery man.

"Shaun went to Palace's hotel the night before the game to see old friends and attended the game," Smith told The Sun.

"But people have wrongly assumed he is to blame because he used to play for Crystal Palace.

"We have had no contact from Dennis Wise and Leeds whatsoever.

"It would be best for Leeds to make it clear who the player is, then these rumours can stop."

Shaun Derry didn't play the game...He have play for Crystal Palace before and know several people in the club...I can understand why he is a hot suspect.
