Carver able to make moves
Quote:
Leeds United's caretaker manager John Carver has revealed he is able to reshape his Whites squad if he so wishes.
Carver currently has the reins of the Elland Road outfit after stepping up from his assistant manager's role following Kevin Blackwell's sacking.
It had been thought Carver would have to work with what he has got until a long-term successor has been found. However, he he is able to wheel and deal should the right player become available.
"Obviously if someone becomes available, the chairman's given me carte blanche to take a look and say 'yes, we can sign him' or 'no we don't want him'," said Carver.
"If we want to go where we want to go we need a squad and we need everyone to be part of this club."
Carver began life in charge of Leeds with a thrilling 3-2 win over Birmingham, before crashing to a disappointing 4-2 loss to ten-man West Brom a week later.
