Leeds to sell star asset in January?
Leeds United chairman Ken Bates is reportedly pondering whether to sell defender Matthew Kilgallon in January to fund squad reinforcements.
England U-21 international Kilgallon has attracted interest from Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United, and both would be ready to match the £4million asking price for the player.
Bates knows this season is not turning out the way he had hoped, and having sacked manager Kevin Blackwell, he may have to furnish the new manager with funds to bring in new faces. Although such a sale would be unpopular with fans, reports claim Bates will happily part with Kilgallon if it will serve the club best in the long term.

He'd better fucking not sell him.
How many of our 'crown jewels' do we have to lose before they realise that we know full well the old "it will serve the club best in the long term" is a crock of shit masquerading as 'we'll put beans back into the kitty and keep the rest to line our pockets'.
We're not that bad-off financially, by any means.
What a derised c*nt he'll be if he does sell.
