Fiorentina have rebounded nicely in the first annual Tuscan cup, by placing third in it, after failing miserably in the Preseason cup. We talked to Jager right after they won their third place game against Juve, "Yes we held back a bit, we don't want to embarras teams to much. Parma will rebound, Meccano he's a good manager, for me to poop on! No I kid, I kid, Parma was very unlucky to feel the power of Van Bommel's team. That is the new name, the general of midfield. We like to congratulate Mancester United, they won the cup, its only fitting that an English team win, since the cup is from there...oh I mean...never mind.

Season a success

Coach Jager was reached at his training facility high up in the Alps, in bitter sub zero temperatures. "Yes its cold, but this cold breeds footballers, not panzies."

We all asked Jager on his upcoming playoff game. "The game with Barcelona is one of immense importance, but we can live with the outcome either way. We have accomplished so much in my first year." Jager was also questioned about a recent trip his club took to Amsterdam.

Alves is a real man, and Fiorentina are down, but not OUT

After a disappointing lose in the promotion playoff, things continue to remain upbeat for Jager and his band of merry men. We met up with Jager at the playboy mansion in California, where Fiorentina chose for their offseason retreat.

"Yes we lose, but what can we do?" , Jager mused as he was fed grapes by two playmates. "We have stallions now, teams will fear us!"
"Pizarro is the man, he was leading goal scorer in the league. I see no change in that. Our defense is fast, mobile and great."

"Just the other day I had a manager, beg me to give them ALves." He told me, "I need Alves!! My team is crap full of men who do with other men!!"
After that, I decided to keep Alves. We bring back Baros, and hope for the best".
We also asked Jager about dipping into the transfer market. "We signed two great players last year, we'll see what happens, but right now we are handicapped"

Jager not worried about Kahn's Porto

We caught up again with Jager in Venice, as his side were assigned gondalas as they rode down a narrow straight between ancient buildings in Venice. "Yes, Porto is a good team, Kahn is a great manager. For tactics no one is better, but we have a great man, with huge testy satchel in Pizarro. He will score one, maybe two against Porto. We are playing well, but we want better, we want to win the championship and move up to B, but we want the cup too. That is why this cup game is important. It will give us confidence."
There have been rumours that Fiorentina will finally move Milan Baros and possibly a defender as Fiorentina have deep talent at defense."Yes we are blessed. We have so many class defenders, we can rotate our lineup, and play fit personel every game. This gives us an edge I believe...but its much to early to talk transfers, but it will happen I feel."
