After defeating Fiorentina in the opening game, Rangers sit at the top of the group with 3 points. The team are in good form and are focused on winning in front of their home fans. Rangers' Kris Boyd opened the scoring in the first minute, putting the ball through Palop's legs and putting Rangers 0-1 up. But with Sevilla scoring before halftime and a second in the second half, all 3 points went to the spanish side. Rangers remain in 4th place after Real Madrid suffered a defeat to Valencia, missing out on the chance to over-take the Glasgow side.

Rangers defeated bottom side Watford tonight at Ibrox stadium with goals coming from Dado Prso and Miguel Salgado. Croatian hitman Prso scored with a thunderous strike in the 40th minute. Spanish star Salgado continued his impressive start to his Rangers career with a commanding performance and also scored a powerful header to secure the win. But it was Prso who won the man of the match award.

Rangers suffered a set-back in the Cup on Wedesday night with a defeat to Liverpool. The Glasgow side were 0-1 up after a Nacho Novo goal, but two goals from Liverpool decided this match.

Rangers suffered a home defeat to Lazio on Friday night which has seen them move down a place in the league. An early injury to Alan Hutton forced manager DavidMc to change his game-plan. Swedish defender Karl Svensson replaced the injured Hutton and looked short of match-fitness.

Manager DavidMc said ''My players know that the performance wasn't acceptable tonight, Im not going to criticise the team publicly, because we have been playing relatively well this season, but tonight was disappointing, especially for a home game''

Rangers defeated Fiorentina today and boosted their chances of promotion as the season reaches the half-way stage. Having already beaten the Italians in Italy in the Cup, the Ibrox side made it two wins out of two as they enjoyed a victory again at the italians home ground. On-loan Porto star Lisandro Lopez scored the opener, and also took home the man-of the-match award. Fiorentina's Potenza scored an equaliser shortly after, but Spanish star Salgado secured the points with a strike in the 77th minute.

Rangers face Arsenal in the cup on Wednesday in an all-British tie, although rumours that DavidMc may field a weakened team have yet to be confirmed. It is thought that the Rangers managers top priority is winning promotion.

Rangers suffered defeat last night to Garzilla's Portsmouth at Ibrox Stadium, missing out on the opportunity to move further up the League B table. Rangers manager DavidMc remained tight-lipped during his post-match interview. David said ''Im very disappointed tonight, especially for the fans, this was a major opportunity for us to move up a couple of places in the league''
