Roma boss tips Porto for the Title

Roma boss Forza_Roma has declared Porto as favourites to claim the first ever FM League title. Porto has dominated the league from the opening days and is currently 3 points ahead of Bayern.

"I believe Porto will take the title. They have demonstrated that they are far superior to many of the other clubs in league A and with the recent skill changes of key players, they surely will take the trophy.

When asked about the rivalry between Roma and Porto, Forza had few words to say.

"We will always battle on and off the field. We both have massive egos and are very competitive toward one another. We will meet again one day...and the feud will definitely continue: stated the Roma legend.

With just 2 MD's to the end of League A, current joint leaders FC Porto seem determined to win the first ever League A competition.


"My team is the strongest in the league, there's no doubt about that. The fact that we are still in the Cup and that our roster is a bit smaller than what it should be, deprived us from fielding our strongest line-up against FC Bayern, which lead into a loss" - said Kahn.

"My players have recovered physically speaking and are eagarly anticipating the match against Patricia's Barcelona, which are said to be the gayest and dirtiest team in League, so we must focus on our goal to win the match and the league" - Kahn added.

Regarding Forza_Roma's comments about Porto being the team he expects to win the league, Oliver Kahn had this to say, "Forza said my team is the best, so he conceeds that I'm too good for him, I'm in a league above him".

Porto have seen several of their top players upgrading their stats, which right now make Porto possibily on par with the strongest rosters in FM, however FC Porto have garanteed the signing of 10 new players, 3 of them being u-21 Serbian star Milan Stepanov and brazillian u-21 star Leandro Lima and argentinian top scorer Ernesto Farias. The other 78 signings were, brazillians Fernando, Lino and Edgar, uruguayan Luis Aguiar, Polish Kazmierczak and the argentinians Mario Bolatti and Mariano Gonzalez.

Following new Roma striker Fred's statements to the press, legendary Portuguese manager, Oliver Kahn came out and answer in style, like he always does.


"It's Roma and Fred who have to be afraid and not the other way around. They signed a 20 sh striker, well I've signed a 20 tk defender. Plus I have the best player in the game, L_Gonzalez, also have the strongest midfield in the league and one of the best strike forces with Postiga-Miccoli." - said kahn.

"Roma, Fred and Milevskyi still have a lot to learn before comparing themselves with the masters of FM. Milevskyi took a whole season to gain about 950 ability pts, while both Postiga and Miccoli upgraded their shooting and passing stat, just proves you cant compare with the big boys" - kahn added.

When asked about Forza_Roma's open challenge for a friendly match in the pre season, the star manager of FC Porto answered in style, "Ah a friendly match. I'm surely up for it, I have a few tricks up my sleve, when we face each other, Forza will be crushed like he was last season. Forza is an amateur compared to me".

Other news, it's being speculated that FC Porto are preparing a shock bid for Roma captain F_Totti, even though Oliver_Kahn denied it, tribalfootball.com reports this as a done deal. More news to follow shortly...

Roma boss Forza_Roma has retaliated in the ongoing feud between Roma and Porto. Forza declared every Roma player, as Untouchable.

"My players are not transferable at any price. But if i received an offer of 70m for a player, i may consider it...But who in their right mind would spend 70m on a player. What am i, a moron?" Declared the Roman.

This words were a direct insult to Oliver_Kahn where Oliver spend 140m on two players. Causing an uproar in the league and skyrocketed transfer agreements.

"We can't have the wealthy managers acting this way...we need competitive balance and must restrict ourselves from buying the Cup."

"Roma will prove that our wealth will be demonstrated on the field, where it counts. Pata has already arranged another gambling scheme and is taking bets on how fast Porto will crumble this season"

After a very successful debut season, FC Porto manager Oliver_Kahn took a year out and has now returned to FM. We've met up with the Portuguese legend, hope you enjoy the interview:

Reporter: Hello, thank you for inviting us into your house for this interview. First question, how do you feel about returning to FM after such a long period of time ?
Oliver_Kahn: I'm very excited to be back, it feels like I'm just starting. The atmosphere is great around the club, the President is happy to have me back and so are the fans. The players are even happier, since they spent one entire season training without playing a single match.

Reporter: I see you like FM very much, so why did you take the year out ?
Oliver_Kahn: It was to let my opponents get better at it, so I wouldn't have another landslide title win.

Reporter: If I recall correctly, you lost 3 matches and won 13 out of 16 in the league and also lost a match in the Cup group stage, which means you're not unbeatable...
Oliver_Kahn: Of course I am! Those 4 losses where just to make the championship more interesting and the same for the Cup group stage. If I wanted to, I would have won every single match last season.

Reporter: Right.. I take it you're eagerly anticipating the season opener after you've been out for such a long time ?
Oliver_Kahn: I've had a little taste of what's coming, after beating Madrid in a friendly match last week. It didn't have media coverage, that is why no one knows that match happened. And of course Madrid's manager wouldn't admit the loss..

Reporter: In your first season, you were one of the managers that signed the most players, are you planning any signings for this upcoming season ?
Oliver_Kahn: Yes. I've already signed former Barcelona midfielder Sebastian Kehl and I'm also keen on signing a new striker.

Reporter: Have you built up a shortlist or are you still looking ?
Oliver_Kahn: I've found the perfect player, but it will be tough to convince the club to let him go, however I'm confident that the player's desire to playing for mighty FC Porto and being coached by the FM Legend will be enough for the club to let him go.

Reporter: It's funny you said that, because we know that you tried to sign Real Madrid's Cannavaro...
Oliver_Kahn: That is not true! I don't want a 35 year old on my squad, he can't even run anymore, I've been told. Also, I would rather give a chance to the most dodgy CB in the world (Stepanov), then to waste a single penny on a Madrid player.

Reporter: Sure.. According to the latest reports coming out of Spain, newspaper Marca to be more precise, Pepe wants to join Real Madrid. What are your thoughts on the matter ?
Oliver_Kahn: Typical spanish press making up stupid rumours. Pepe loves to play for the best club in the world and he wouldn't want to downgrade his ability, which would happen if he had Podolski as his coach, instead of the Legendary one, myself.

Reporter: Valencia won the league last season by a good margin, they also have a very good squad with players like David Villa, so aren't you afraid that your team might falter against Valencia ?
Oliver_Kahn: That is nonsense. My players are better, more experienced and a lot better coached than Valencia's, we'll beat them easily when we meet in the league.

Reporter: So you expect to do the double again this season ?
Oliver_Kahn: Certainly. Quite frankly, I can't see anyone challenging Porto, we're just too good.

Reporter: Thank you for the interview and good luck for the new season.

Podolski: It is obvious he dreamt it. I would never force my players to play on his terrible pitch and risk injury so close to the start of the season.

Podolski: Luckily we did not give in to Kahn's constant, annoying begging and pleading. To the delight of the fans Canna remains safe with us. Cannavaro told me later that day that he would have refused to go anyway since he wanted a shot at winning the title this year.

Podolski: I would have been happy to have Pepe here at Madrid a few years ago. It is such a shame such a young talented player was ruined by his manager and now playing Madrid has become unrealistic dream.

FC Porto have been crowned League A champions once again. After a season of just training without competing in any match, the Portuguese Giants returned to League A and won the competition.


Porto played against Roma to decide which team would win League A. Porto traveled to the Olimpico boosted by their 4-2 win against Liverpool in the 3rd place playoff, for the TSFM Cup, but some of their most influential players were tired. Roma, on the other hand, had a week to prepare this match and the players were fully fit.

The match started in a slow pace, with neither team wanting to take any risks, until Porto decided to take charge of the match. On the 12th minute, Lucho Gonzalez made the assist for Fabrizio Miccoli to score the first goal. Roma then tried to fight back, but conceded the second goal at the 44th minute, when Cris made the pass for Lucho to score with a powerful shot. In the second half, Porto came out with a more defensive strategy, as opposed to Roma, who of course came out more offensively. The Italians scored a goal by Fred, but it proved to be not enough as Porto maintained their lead to win the match and consequently the League.

We spoke with both managers, the goalscorers and the captains of the 2 teams, some interesting things were said, "I have to congratulate my team for the win and the amazing performance at Roma, in such an hostile environment, and also for the title win. We were lucky to score first, which gave us a huge boost in moral and confidence, then scored again before the break, which was a huge blow for Roma. My players followed the game plan we had set and were very organized throughout the match, kept it very tight in defense, not allowing Roma any space and were ruthless in front of goal.
A word to Roma and Forza, they were fantastic opponents and if they had won the league, it would have been deserved." - said FC Porto Manager Oliver_Kahn.

"We proved how great we are, we fully deserved the 3 pts and the title win. Roma have nothing on us" - said Fabrizio Miccoli.

"I'm of course very disappointed at our loss tonight, we deserved to win the league more than Porto. It's a shame that we are such big game bottlers." - said Roma captain Francesco Totti.

"We played this match to perfection, we attacked well and defended well. I'm pleased to have won the title for the second time and also pleased to have scored the winning goal." - said Porto's Lucho Gonzalez.

"I have nothing to say other than SCREW PORTO!!!" - shouted Roma striker Fred.

Roma Manager Forza Roma, had a more serious approach, "Porto we simply better than us tonight. Oliver_Kahn was able to outplay me yet again, so they deserve to win the title. I'm obviously disappointed that we didn't win this, as we were top of the table for many weeks, but this is football I guess..".

The Porto fans were obviously ecstatic after winning the League for the second time and so was Porto president Pinto da Costa, "I'm extremely happy that the team was able to pull off a win in Roma and win the league. We now have to start preparing the next season, because the amount of pressure will be even higher as we have to defend our title. And of course Oliver_Kahn will be our manager next season, we've just agreed a 1 year extension."

Finally, we spoke with FC Porto captain A_Miguel, "We were fired up for this one since we were eliminated in the Cup at the hands of El Gringo and his team of Spaniard bastards. This match was very close and could have gone either way. We played well and ultimately deserved to win, but I think Roma have a lot of potential in their side and should, once again, be one of our main opponents next season. We don't fear them however, as future looks bright for Porto; Our team is very strong, all of our main stars have recently renewed their contracts and we've been boosted by Ricardo Quaresma's upgrade on his passing stat. I've spoken to our President and he guaranteed that a new star player will be signed in the summer, so we'll be even stronger. We will also be boosted by the return of our players out on loan, Leandro Lima, Luis Aguiar and Adriano.
I fancy us to win the title next season again."

Following comments by A_Miguel about the possible signing of a new star, many rumours have started. Francesco Totti has been linked with a shock move to Porto, although it's unlikely that Forza Roma will part with his captain. Barcelona's Miroslav Klose, Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos and Manchester United's Alessandro Nesta have also been linked with a move to the League A champions.

After another successful season as FC Porto manager, the Portuguese Legend Oliver_Kahn has taken some time to speak with us, regarding next season, expectations, possible signings and more.


Question: Hello, thank you for giving us the pleasure of this interview. First question, are you looking forward to the start of the season ?

Oliver_Kahn: I'm very looking forward to the start of the season, we're in good shape at the moment, the training camp in Brazil was great, specially at night.

Question: Right.. What are your expectations for the new season ?

Oliver_Kahn: As always, we want to win League A and the Cup. We are by far the strongest team in FM so I think we're the favorites for both competitions.

Question: Regarding League A, Valencia Manager Dellas, has publicly criticized the FA's decision of holding a relegation playoff without Porto and Roma being involved, what do you have to say about this ?

Oliver_Kahn: Clearly Dellas is still bitter that he wasn't involved in the battle to win the league last season, to suggest that I have influence over the FA clearly proves it.

Question: Well, you were recently involved in a sex scandal, as a tape of you and the 4 Brazilian prostitutes that take part in the FA was found on the internet. What do you have to say about that ?

Oliver_Kahn: Bullshit. They [ ( . ) ( . ) ] are very nice, I know them quite well, but again, to suggest I have any influence over them is nonsense.

Question: What about the accusations of match fixing and dodgy transfers ?
Oliver_Kahn: I refuse to comment about such dumb statements.
