Tommaso Rocchi - signs until 2013
He doesn't want to discuss a new contract until the summer.

Well, i'm sure he will sign a new contract. Lazio would be stupid to let him go!

He's easily their best striker, over the last three seasons he's banged the goals in.
Lazio need to make sure they tie him down.

I love strikers like that. Strong, quick and who never gives up on the ball. And he's very passionate as well. In the top ten in scoring....Good guy!

He is a must sign, as I have said in a few threads, Lazio have built a "team", not a team of individuals. If they can get some world class help, look out.

Lazio president: Rocchi contract talks can wait
tribalfooball.com - March 19, 2007
Lazio president Claudio Lotito insists there's no rush to open new contract talks with striker Tommaso Rocchi.
"His contract expires in 2009," said Lotito after last night's 3-1 defeat of Empoli. "I have a great understanding with the player. He was my first signing as president in 2004.
"We'll get to the end of the championship and then we'll see."

Tommaso Rocchi could start against Scotland and, although he’s heading for the Champions League with Lazio, admits he’s tempted by a Juventus offer.
“I am flattered and honoured by the interest from such a prestigious club as Juve,” said the Biancocelesti star.
It’s especially pleasing considering that Rocchi was in the Juventus youth academy, but the Turin giants opted to release him.
“If a proposal came in then I would consider it, even if I am happy at Lazio and there is a plan here that I intend to stick with.”
This could well be a bargaining tool for Rocchi’s upcoming contract extension talks, as he has quickly become a fan favourite at the Olimpico with 13 Serie A goals this season.
“It is good to hear that President Claudio Lotito considers me untouchable. I do not want to leave Lazio and we have agreed to meet at the end of the season to decide to continue together for life.”
His current deal expires in June 2009 and his annual salary is a measly £510,000, so a pay rise is definitely on the horizon for the 31-year-old.

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has rubbished claims that the untransferable Tommaso Rocchi wants a Juventus move.
“Rocchi does not want to play for Juventus,” said Lotito while entering the Lega Calcio offices in Milan on Friday.
“I do not think he wants to leave,” he added. “In any case, he is not for sale, like many of his teammates.”
Rumours of a Turin temptation did spread this morning after the former Empoli player admitted that catching Juventus’ eye was a reason to be cheerful.
"The interest of a prestigious club like Juventus flatters me and if an offer should arrive I would consider it, even though I'm fine at Lazio and there's a project I intend to marry," declared Rocchi.
"I already knew that for Lotito I'm not for sale and I'm pleased with that,” added the Italian international who grew up in Juve’s youth ranks.
“I don't want to leave Lazio and we agreed on meeting at the end of the season to decide whether to remain together.
"It's fair that a club does have a salary cap, but it's important also to keep the key players and continue to grow.”
Rocchi’s deal with the Biancocelesti outfit expires in June 2009 and extension talks are expected to be a priority, after the striker’s excellent season, having scored 13 Serie A goals so far.

He so needs a pay raise!!! There's not a player on the planet who would not be tempted by Juve...besides my Totti ....hope he resigns with Lazio...he's the heart and soul of that club. He deserves all recognition for the praise of Lazio...well the majority of the praise...his colleagues are also havinga great season as well!
