Juve will have to find players that will play for the Juve logo...and settle for no Champions League. That will be the major hurdle in signing top players. Think Juve will have to weather the storm this season and hope for a decent place in the table. Gaining any type of Europe will help land quality players.

Well if we keep Buffon and Trezeguet then that's a start, hopefully some big name players will be attracted then.

Big names that don't mind missing out on CL and who will be committed to Juve. I think Juve can battle for the fourth spot in they solidify there defense a bit. ADP and Trez will lead them up front, they just need the back line to be strengthened. Midfield shouldn't be that much of a concern either.

The defence is a major concern, well the centre anyway. Really we need two top class CB's.
The midfield needs some strengthening as well, a DM and a creative spark should do it.

Who would be the starting midfield if the season started today?

do juve really need a major re-building??imo they have a good squad to challenge for honors, plus some very good talented youngsters coming off the ranks of juve.
as joel said some key players need to be there, like buffon which i see as the most important.trez well i think juve have him covered even if he leaves.

Probably this:
Nedved - Zanetti - Paro - Camoranesi
Maybe Giannichedda would get the nod, I don't now. It needs improving though.

But if we want to be major contenders for the league and in Europe over the next few years we need some big signings.

I'd put Giannichedda in there. He's a good player. Like you said, another central mifielder would be ideal.

Ya i think people are over estimating how much Juve need to rebuild...They still have their CORE intact minus canna and they still have alot more big name players then do alot of other teams. I think if Juve can make a couple good signings this summer on Defense, they they are going to be as strong as ever. They may struggle in the first couple weeks getting used to the A style of play, but i think after that they are going to be winning just like before!

Actually we lost Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta, Vieira, Emerson and Zlatan, that's six genuinely world class players. That's the standard of player we should be aiming for but at the moment we're nowhere near that, partucularly in defence and midfield.

Come on, we had Thuram and Cannavaro as our first choice CBs, now we have Kovac and Boumsong.
We need to re-build.

I think at this rate Grygera will have to be used as a CB more than a RB.
The centre of defence and midfield are the biggest issues for me, the spine of the side if you like.
Right now the situation is looking desperate, I propose we get Tacchinardi back and slap him straight back into the first team just to get some stability. We can't rely on the youngsters for everything.

I think we need to rebuild in the sense to make juve what it once was (a football powerhouse) but i think with the team that we have right now, with a few signings would be more then competetive is what im saying!
