At best he was a squad player. Just gives us more funds to strengthen.

Siena want Boudianski, Molinaro could be included in the deal.

Paro has gone to Genoa in a co-ownership deal, Mirante and Gastaldello are both set to join Sampdoria on loan.

Quote:
Juventus have sold young talent Matteo Paro to Genoa, while Antonio Mirante and Daniele Gastaldello are sent to Sampdoria.

This evening newly promoted Genoa officially announced the arrival of midfielder Paro in a co-ownership deal with the Bianconeri.

The 24-year-old spent last season at Juve in Serie B, where he impressed with one goal in 28 appearances on their way to topping the table.

Before that experience the youth product had spent time on loan at Crotone, Chievo and Siena.

Juventus are also farming out a few more of their youngsters, as goalkeeper Mirante and defender Gastaldello – both 24 – are ready to complete their loan moves to Sampdoria.

Mirante was the reserve for Gianluigi Buffon in Turin last term, while Gastaldello helped rescue Siena from Serie B.

The Juventus hierarchy have admitted that they have high hopes for young starlets Claudio Marchisio and Sebastian Giovinco.

The Azzurrini stars are owned by the Bianconeri but are spending the current campaign on loan to Tuscan-outfit Empoli.

Marchisio, 21, is a centre midfielder, who played a key role in last year's Serie B promotion campaign, making 25 appearances.

"Out of everyone the player who is most ready is Marchisio,"said Juve sporting director Alessio Secco.

"Next season, our first reinforcement for our Champions League challenge will be bringing back Marchisio," said Coach Claudio Ranieri.

The pint-sized Sebastian Giovinco is rated as one of the most promising young players in Europe and has earned the label as the 'Italian Lionel Messi'.

Despite playing mainly as a substitute, Giovinco has already scored two Serie A goals for Empoli this season, including the last-minute wonder goal against Roma a fortnight ago.

The 20-year-old fantasista was in mesmerising form for the Italy Under-21s on Friday night, setting up four goals in the 5-0 Euro 2009 qualifying victory over Azerbaijan.

"I am looking forward to next season when Giovinco returns," said President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli.
Goal.com - Juventus - Juventus: Marchisio And Giovinco Are Our Future

Marchisio is a starter at Empoli and he looks very mature on the pitch for his age. Empoli's away win against Milan, Marchisio looked impressive. If Tiago leaves in January, Marchisio would be a good replacement, but were better off leaving him at Empoli so he can play every game.

Giovinco on the other hand, is usually brought in as a sub, and with the lack of options we have at AM, we could use him. He would be getting the same playing at Juve, that he is now getting at Empoli, more or less.

I really don't see the point of Giovinco's loan, given the little time he gets.

Surely Giovinco could come in for Nedved and not be that much worse?

"Hopefully"? U either bring them back or not. Giovinco at the very least should be with us.

De Ceglie has been excellent, but should spend another season on loan. Let Molinaro back up whomever we pick up at LB.

Marchisio has been really good, but needs a couple more seasons elsewhere.

Giovinco is exceptional, he is ready, and so am I.

Criscito should spend two more seasons on loan. Ranieri really hurt his confidence which is slowly being patched up at Genoa. Just don't loan him back to Genoa or he might just start calling it home.

Lanzafame on loan to Palermo.

I would bring back Marchisio next season. He has more talent than Nocerino, who Ranieri used blindly until Sissoko arrived.

I like Nocerino. I think he has great positioning skills. Marchisio is a better passer and better technically, but he doesn't have the same grasp of game flow that Nocerino does. I would feel safer going into a game vs. Atalanta with Nocerino in the CM, then Marchisio. They both need more time, but we can afford to deal with Nocerino's flaws as opposed to Marchisio's.

Marchisio doesn't commit as many pointless fouls or give the ball away nearly as much. Id argue Marchisio has a better grasp, since overall, his play is much more intelligent than Nocerino.

Most importantly, Marchisio fills a role in midfield we are missing. Sissoko does the same job as Nocerino and is much better. I dont see the point in sending Marchisio on loan for another season, and if our management are telling the truth, neither do they.

Marchisio has looked good at Empoli, but re-calling him to Juventus when he is 22, has no big team experience and has played 1/2 season at best in Serie A scares me. I know that Nocerino will hold the fort down in the center against Atalanta. He might not be a pretty player, but he can be counted on. Marchisio may be as well, but he is unproven and I would like to see him play more games on a consitent basis with another club next year.

Lanzafame was sold to Palermo for €5m, than immediately co-owned with Juve for €2.5m.

Juventus have sent young striker Rey Volpato to Serie B side Bari on loan for the 2008-09 season.

The 21-year-old marksman has spent time at Siena and Arezzo and played 13 games for Empoli last term.

Volpato had been at the Stadio Castellani in a co-ownership arrangement, but the Old Lady bought back 100 per cent of his rights for around £750,000.
