Do you see Almiron as a winger or as a central midfielder then?
He can play both.

I really hope the Diego thing is true. You can't pass up on a player of his talent.

The Bianconeri are also on the verge of netting Sergio Almiron from Empoli, after the player underwent his medical in Turin.
“I am ready for Juventus, everything was fine and now I am here,” said the midfielder. “Now I will return to Argentina to spend some time with my family.”
It is reported that the Argentine will join the Old Lady in a deal that will see Bianconeri youngsters Matteo Paro, Sebastian Giovinco and Rej Volpato loaned out to Empoli along with a cash bid.

Sergio Almiron To Juventus
Quote:
Midfielders Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes have officially joined newly promoted Italian giants Juventus.
The duo underwent their medicals in Turin this week and have, as expected, completed their moves to Turin after agreeing five-year contracts.
Almiron has joined the Bianconeri from Serie A minnows Empoli, while the Portuguese ace has landed from Lyon.
Almiron started his career with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina and moved to Italy in 2001 when he joined Udinese. He switched to Tuscany in August 2004 after playing for then Serie B side Verona.
“I am here to prove my value and I am ready to face any difficulty,” said the South American, who will again team up with Vincenzo Iaquinta after his recent switch from Udine.
“I will do my best, as I have always done in the past. This is a new starting point in my career – I have been waiting for this moment for some time.”
Almiron has cost the club something in the region of £6.5m.
Tiago, who was also being chased by Milan, joins Juve after winning three straight League titles in the last three years, one with Chelsea and two with Lyon.
“I am here to win more trophies and I am happy with my choice,” explained the 26-year-old who Lyon have sold for £9.3m.
“Juventus are a great European club,” he added. “Playing for them was a dream and now it has come true.”
The international, who played an important role in the Portugal side that reached the semi-finals of last summer’s World Cup, joined Lyon in 2005 after spells with Sporting Braga, Benfica and Chelsea.

£6m, and we didn't have to include any co-owns. Very good deal. Almiron did very very well for Empoli, and with better players around him at Juve, I imagine we will see even more from him.

And that's the midfield sorted now in my opinion.
I'm interested to see whether him and Tiago start alongside each other though.

Paro, Giovinco and Volpato have all gone to Empoli, whether on loan or in a co-own deal I'm not sure.

They werent part of the deal, so Juve makes money off them, since those teams are paying Juve for them.
As for those 3? Thats official? Paro might join Genoa.

None of them have officially moved anywhere yet. CH4 made an assumption. Im not doubting that they wont go though. Here is the english version to Paro rumour I read:

You're right, Paro rejected a move to Empoli and is all set for Genoa.

New signing Sergio Almiron is ready to start his adventure in Turin with Juventus. “I can face any problems.”
The former Empoli man joined La Vecchia Signora last month for a fee of around £6.5m and admits that he had been dreaming of the day he would play with the Bianconeri for a while.
“I am here to prove myself to everyone and I am ready to face any problems,” the midfielder told Hurra Juventus.
“This is a new starting point in my career – I have been waiting for this moment for some time,” added Almiron, who started his career in Argentina with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina before moving to Udinese in 2001.
“I especially remember one episode associated to Juventus, when I scored against Gianluigi Buffon at the Stadio Delle Alpi in 2006.
“It is a moment that will remain in my memory forever, you don’t beat Buffon every day. At the end of the match I was pleased to hear that he feared my free-kicks,” concluded Almiron.

Almiron wants Juventus future Wednesday 12 December, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sergio Almiron is more concerned with winning back his place in the Juventus side than leaving the Old Lady.
The summer signing from Empoli has been linked with a January exit after struggling to settle, but Claudio Vagheggi has told calciomercato.com that his client wants a Bianconeri future.
“A New Year move? You can never rule anything out in football, but my client’s objective for now is to regain his form and win back his place in the Juventus side, one of the best in the world,” said Vagheggi.
“I had a meeting with Juventus a fortnight ago and they have faith in Almiron. He just now needs to fight for his place.”
Almiron was expected to keep the side ticking over in midfield following his £6.5m move, but has lost his place to Cristiano Zanetti and Antonio Nocerino in recent times.
That has led to reports that he could be offered to Hamburg as part exchange for Rafael Van Der Vaart and his representative has admitted the Argentine has plenty of admirers.
“My client is wanted by a host of clubs and Hamburg are a great side,” he added. “Their interest is pleasing, especially in a period like this when Almiron is not playing that regularly.
“Almiron only disappointed in the second half against Napoli and at Empoli. He featured a lot at the start of the season and that included friendlies. He wants to do that again.”
