Palladino - Co-owned to Genoa
Quote:
Livorno forward Raffaele Palladino says he would have no problem with being recalled to Juventus at the end of the season.
The Under-21 international, who scored in the 1-0 win over Portugal on Tuesday, is currently on loan in Tuscany and is widely considered as the nation’s most promising striker.
Now it seems as if Juve boss Fabio Capello has asked club officials to bring him home for the 2006-07 campaign.
Although that will inevitably lead to some time on the bench, Palladino is eager for the chance to make an impression.
“You don’t need to ask me whether I want to return to Juventus,” the Bianconeri youth team product stated.
“I dream about it every night. I would obviously like to play regular football, rather than sit in the stands, but it will be up to the club to decide.”
Palladino, who outlined his ability on loan at Salernitana in Serie B last season, was handed to Livorno as a ‘present’ for their help in the Adrian Mutu capture.

Raffaele Palladino - Co-owned to Genoa
Quote:
Udinese are close to signing Under-21 international striker Raffaele Palladino from Juventus.
Udinese director general Roberto Zanzi has confirmed that the two clubs have almost finalised an agreement for the co-ownership of the 22-year-old.
“The deal is almost closed,” stated Zanzi. “Our primary target was Marco Borriello but Milan said he was not for sale, so we focused on Palladino following his excellent loan spell at Livorno.”
The player’s transfer to the Friulani may now favour the Turin club in the future, as they have eyed both Dias Felipe and Sulley Ali Muntari.
Udinese's highly-rated stopper Felipe has been paired with Juventus following the summer exits of Lilian Thuram, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta.
Midfielder Muntari has instead been courted by Portsmouth, but the Premiership club stated on Monday that it was unlikely they could meet the £11m valuation for the Ghana international.
Udinese may now consider offering the Turin giants an option to sign the pair next summer as part of the Palladino talks.
Furthermore, Juventus have not ruled out the idea of making an offer for world champion Vincenzo Iaquinta or the young Salvatore Foti.
The 18-year-old is co-owned by Udinese with current club Sampdoria, but has been paired with a loan move to Turin recently.

reading this rumour the last few days, didn't think it would happen. Looks like its for real.
I dont know what to think. Good player, good potential, but always seems to be getting injured. Plus, a yr in serie a will do him more good than a yr in serie b. However the co-ownership complicates it. If he does really good though, i expect the club to pull a Cheillini so im not to worried.

Palladino Loan?
Quote:
Raffaele Palladino has told Juventus he will request a January transfer if he doesn’t get more space.
“I can only convince Didier Deschamps of my worth by playing two great games against Spain,” said the Under-21 international.
“Between my ankle injury and the great champions I have in front of me, I’ve been put in the background at this club.”
The talented youngster impressed at Livorno last season and reveals he rejected the opportunity to go out on loan again.
“I am proud to be a Juve player and dream of starring for the Bianconeri. Right now, things are going this way, but it was Deschamps who convinced me to stay in August rather than go to Udinese,” explained Palladino.
“Now that I’m finally fit again, I must use these play-offs for the European Under-21 Championships to show what I can do and earn my place at Juventus. If not, I’ll evaluate my options in January and look at possible loan moves.”
The Azzurrini take on their Spanish counterparts this evening in Modena for the first leg of the play-offs.

I'd send him on loan. If we need him just recall him.

We've ended the agreement made between the two clubs that he'll move to Udinese in January. Deschamps has been impressed with his recent form so we're going to keep him.

Interesting. Although the fact an Italian player rejecting a move to England is hardly surprising.

Well it goes to show that he's committed to Juventus although his lack of games before Del Piero and Trezeguet got injured was a concern for him.
He's proved his worth though.

Obviously ability wise he can't tough Baggio but even in terms of his style of play I don't think you can make a comparison.
Either way he's a decent player though, we should try and hold onto him.

Juventus starlet Palladino aware of Man Utd interest
tribalfooball.com - March 04, 2007
Juventus youngster Rafaelle Palladino admits he's aware of interest from Manchester United.
Palladino is being tracked by United this season, but says: "It's too soon to talk about Manchester United. Before anything else, I want to build a career with the Bianconeri and become the Cristiano Ronaldo of Juve!"
