It's a priority b/c of Europe, where the big matches will attract big crowd's, and Juve would be making around 1 million euro's more per game in ticket sales. Same goes for serie a.
Even still, only Fiorentina, Torino, Milan, Inter and Roma would attract sell out's, along with a few CL games, and thats hardly enough to recoup the fee for the reconstruction, nevermind a new stadium.
However, Juve have always been very financially disciplined , and they would never put the club in financial jeopardy if they didn't know for certian they could manage the risk.

Another important step in the Stadium Project: indeed Juventus' Board of Directors today approved the construction of a new Stadium that will be built in place of the Dell’Alpi. The Club announced as much in a press release after today's meeting.
The project is expected to cost € 105 million in all; the Board gave Managing Director Jean-Claude Blanc the task of carrying out all the necessary steps, particularly in administrative terms. The construction project will not cause any capital increase. The new facility should be ready in time for the 2011/2012 season.

I imagine the capacity will be around 40,000. Most importantly though, the fans are going to be much closer to the pitch. Our fans are awesome, so I cant imagine how much louder it will sound in a more atmospheric design.

Construction begins in spring 2009, finishes in spring 2011. Capacity of 40,000.
The closest seat will be less than 9 meters away from the pitch, and the furthest seat 28 meters away from the pitch. In the current Delle Alpi, the closest seat is 28 meters, so this is a huge improvement.

It's good news for Juve, and it wont put the club into debt. They're building it on top of the Delle Alpi, so thats y its not as expensive compared to other stadium developments.
When completed, it will be the only stadium in Italy owned by the club, and the only stadium in Italy open 7 days a week with restaurants, shops, etc, as well as VIP boxes (120 of them, for the 120 ppl in Italy who can afford them lol), so thats alot more $$$ for Juve. They no longer need to pay a lease on it, and all the revenue goes to the club, so economically this is a huge step forward.
It's going to have the Allianz Arena lighting thing on the outside, except they will be able to project images like players, club symbols, etc onto it.
Most important thing from a fans perspective is that the the running track is being removed and the stands are going to be really close to the pitch. Considering the current Olimpico is louder than certain grounds in England 3 times its size, a new 40,000 capacity stadium with seats really close to the pitch will be amazing.

In view of the next three seasons, when Juventus will still be playing at the Olimpico Stadium, Blanc then confirmed that the Club are willing to cooperate in increasing the former Comunale's seats by 3,000. The possibility of lowering the barriers in the Olimpico's East and West stands to only 110 centimetres will also be taken into consideration.

I am very excited for the new stadium. It is a step in the right direction for us, and despite our management lack of vision in the footballing department, their business sense is extremely good and hopefully we will be able to compete, froma monetary standpoint, with Milan and Inter for transfers.
