Well what other creative attacking midfielders are available for as little as £6m?

You seem to be missing the point of this thread, seeing as we actually have money to spend for next season..frees and out-of-favour signings now on the backburner for Moggi, at least just for now.

I know but there are many areas of the team that we need to stregthen. We can't spend all our money on one or two players when we're selling a few people in the summer and we're lacking players in the first place.

I can't help but feel you don't possess the same vision as the majority of Juventini, Fabio. We're not going to bring in a squad-full of average players just to make up numbers, we will sign 'campioni' because this is and will always be the Juventus mentality.

Of course, why would we just bring in average players?

Rosicky is not average though and that's why I'd like to see him at Juve. I expect him to have a good WC as well so everyone will be able to see the talents he has.

the figure is prolly much higher than 35 mil with the sales of numerous players in mind. we can splurge on alot of great players.

riquelme is the ideal player, but imo, we need pace in our mid, it will go a long way in europe. riquelme would be great for serie a in terms of his patient movements in mid. he could also be landed for relatively cheap price in comparison to other "big" name players.

anways, wait and c , impossible to predict things with juve.

You're right when you say we need pace and that's why I'd like to see us sign Mancini to replace Camoranesi. We have Marchionni as well who's very pacey so I think we'll have a better chance of winning the CL next season with players like him.

cammo is all but gone. we only have nedved and marchionni as wingers/outside mids. for all we know, nedved might retire after the wc, he will be 34 next season. with all that in consideration i dont think we will go after riquelme, as he is more suited for a central role. (wouldn't complain if we got him)

mancini and aimar are my 2 picks.

Aimar is similar to Riquelme though in that he only really plays centrally. However, I do think we need a player like that, whether it's Riquelme, Aimar or Rosicky I don't really mind. A young left winger would be useful as well due to Nedved's age and forthcoming retirement. I can't see Mutu playing in that position for much longer (even though he's done fairly well) and Marchionni may end up being just a squad player so we definately need more options in the wide areas.

it would have been nice to c mutu play upfront, we should have given him a chance earlier in the season, espcially when ibra was doing fuck all and we had a 12 pt lead.

Yeah, it's a shame he's been stuck out on the wing for most of the season but I think the form of Del Piero more than anything has limited his chances. You have to give him credit though because he's never once complained and he's put in some great performances for us as well. I like players that can play in mutiple positions when needed so for me he's been one of our most important players this season.

i know, im not complaining, i just think its a bad idea to use players out of position when other players in his desired position are playing bad (ibra). mutu has had some great performances, but he has also had quite a few bad ones too. its not his natural position and u can tell sometimes.

Agreed, Zlatan remained in the team for far too long when he wasn't playing well and as a result we suffered. Even then I doubt Mutu would have got a look in though as Del Piero would have been next in line.

Having said that I respect Mutu's work rate and effort whenever he played on the wing.

how much do u think we could get for cammo? 7-10 mil? zalayeta...3-5 mil? potential 10 to 15 extra mil on the 35, not including the sales of zebina and blasi (to fiorentina prolly). or u could use cammo and zalayeta as a swap deal for any big player in spain. possibilities are endless.

Too much guilt laid on Ibra, Capello is as much to blame as anyone.
Fabio, you have Rosicky overrated. Good job Moggi doesn't seem that tempted to make a move for him anyway.

I don't think Aimar would command a place in our starting XI (better Serie A 'prospect' than Rosicky, but still not Juve material) and the only way Riquelme could operate in our midfield would be a complete overhaul of our setup, which isn't going to happen. He needs the team built entirely around him, I doubt we're prepared to do that. One thing I dislike about Riquelme is his seeming inability to handle pressure, note his exile from Barcelona and of course his choke against Arsenal recently.

One thing's for sure though, Capello needs to realise that in Europe and in big games, Emo and Vieira can't co-exist in the middle - they compromise our offence and seem to get in each other's way in an overcrowded midfield.

I like Mancini though, he and Marchionni would be fantastic additions to the roster, the latter already confirmed.
