£10.7m is a lot for a 17-year-old but he's obviously highly rated.

I like Ayala, would be good for a couple of seasons. Our youngsters could learn from him aswell.

Well he's 33 and he's had some serious problems with his knees so I have to question how long he'd last, maybe a season.

Ayala is good, but at 33, not to sure how much more he has in him. He wouldn't be a starter, and is good player to have in case of injuries.

Barzagli/Metzelder or Barzagli/Ayala. Metzelder is to good to pass up on for free, and I doubt he would we want to be on the bench.

I'd much rather have Metzelder because he's younger. No doubt.
But Ayala isn't finished.

Like I said I believe Ayala has another year in him, he and Barzagli could make a good partnership.

It's hard to say no when it's on a free though.

Good move. He has hardly played this season. Im surprised DD hasn't used him. From what I saw of him in the pre-season, he looked pretty good.

He's a decent player plus he can play on the left so it is surprising that he didn't play more. The loan should do him good anyway.

Apparently we're following Bordeaux midfielder Fernando Menegazzo, he used to play for Siena.
