50% of Italian teenage boys would like to have Moggi as their father. Interesting stat.

Juve tempted to lure Joaquin
Quote:
Juve consider Joaquin bid
Juventus are lining up a £12m bid for Real Betis winger Joaquin, according to reports in Italy.
The Spain international, who played in Betis’ 1-0 win over Chelsea on Tuesday night, is tied to the Seville club until 2010 and has a £41m minimum release fee built into his contract.
However, if the player wants to leave, the Seville club are likely to want to do business and according to the player’s agent and father, Aurelio Sanchez, his son is ready to take the next step up in his career.
Joaquin has been courted by Real Madrid and, most notably, Chelsea, over recent months, with Jose Mourinho repeatedly singing his praises.
The Portuguese tactician opted to buy Shaun Wright-Phillips in the close season instead, which leaves Juventus unlikely to have to fight the might of Roman Abramovic’s wallet.
“Betis will be better off letting him go this season,” said Sanchez. “Chelsea won’t find it easy to win this battle.”
Juventus Coach Fabio Capello (left) is also an admirer of the 24-year-old Spaniard and reputedly tried to sign him when he was at the helm a Roma.
Juve’s squad is certainly light on natural wingers and the purchase of Joaquin would certainly add more weight to Capello’s attacking options.

Highly unlikely, but it would be a dream signing for us. He runs at defences, has great speed and is extremely skillful to boot. We have a lack of that at Juventus; Ibra can beat players, Zambro can, Alex can, Zalayeta can, Mutu can and Camo can sometimes. Only two of them are in our first team at present..and then we wonder why we can't carve out chances, we had 2 tops this past Saturday..and of course who will forget our 'shooting blanks' match last season against Liverpool at home.
Playmaker-sort-of-player is paramount.

messi has a $150 mil release fee lol
i would welcome this signing anyday!!! i like what i see from Joaquin everytime i watch a Real Betis game, however 12 mil is a lil to low, juve could prolly raise 40 mil, but its not worth it, anything under 20 and this would be an amazing signing, lets hope chelsea arent in the run.

40m..are you having a laugh? We won't bid anything more than 10/12, that is if we are actually interested in him. Capello likes the boy..but if Moggi thinks its worthwhile is another matter.

I wouldn't pay more than 10 million, if Juve pay any more(which they won't) they are extremely foolish.

You and I both know they won't, Jager..but he's a marvellous talent, don't underrate.
Ruin his career? Why, what greener grass resides in Spain? Barca - no room. Real - again, no room. Anywhere else, Depor, Valencia et al isn't a step up from his current club.
He won't grace the Premiership, at least I hope not..we need an injection of pace, I'd like to see him be just that for us. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Juventus sell players for that much, not buy. In Italy of late, we are more prone to sell players like that for a huge profit. We scout the world for young talent, and then develop them, then sell them for a nice profit.
Now, you did spend some cash on Viera, but under the circumstances, that was a "no brainer".
You want to get rid of Nedved...how much do you think he's worth now? If he doesn't make it at Juve any more, is he going to retire?

Definitely. If he doesn't win the Champions League within the next two seasons (this one included) - he'll retire. Whatever happens, he'll hang them up at Juventus..but say if we win it this year, I think he'll call it a day soon after and bow out at the top of his personal mountain.

you will never get him for 12 mill, but he would be a good signing for you.
the thing is i think you would be better placed to get a left footed winger as you already have camoranesi.

I don't rate Camo as great though, he does the business..but isn't 'special' enough to be a regular at Juventus for as long as he has been. Capello must feel a similar way, subbing him on and off tonight; just so Mutu could give us a boost, which he did.
