I can see him going to United more really...what with Rio looking set to cop a big ban due to Englands Olympic bid (and their need to have a strong stance on drugs). He will be a scape goat and will cop it i reckon, Van Buyten would fit the bill i reckon.

How he runs about the pitch with a head that huge defies the laws of physics...
It annoys me when players make statements like these, they serve no purpose.

Cavenaghi denies Juve transfer
River Plate striker Fernando Cavenaghi has denied that he has already been transferred to Juventus.
The Argentine is currently on international duty with the Under-20 side for the Fifa World Youth Championships and rumours in his homeland suggested he would head to Turin once Argentina's participation in the competition ends.
"All what is being said in Buenos Aires are speculations, there isn't anything official about my transfer to any club," said Cavenaghi.
"Nobody from Juventus has spoken with me and I can also say that they haven't spoken with my club.
"All the time there are things said about my transfer to Juventus but there isn't anything official."
The 19-year-old did though confess his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside Alessandro Del Piero for the Bianconeri.
"It would be great to have the chance to play in the same team with a brilliant player like Del Piero but that is only a wish at the moment because I am still a River Plate player and when I end my participation in the Under-20 national team, I will return to River for the pre-season work," he added.
"After that I go to the Under-23 national team. At the moment those are the only teams where I can go."

Juve option on Uruguayan
Juventus are believed to have already secured an option for Uruguayan defender Albert Castillo - and are considering when they bring the young star to Italy.
Juve coach Marcelo Lippi (pictured) is believed to have agreed a fee of around £2.7 million for the Olympiakos defender.
The Turin side demolished Olympiakos 7-0 in midweek, but took the opportunity to discuss the deal with the Greek side after their UEFA Champions League match.
It seems unlikely that Juve will move to bring in the defender over the winter, but could well decide to add the South American to their ranks in the summer

Rodriguez: I Want To Play For Juve
12/24/2003. San Lorenzo's defender, Gonzalo Rodriguez, has expressed his interest of playing for Juventus, who have been following him recently.
"It's a club which is always in competitions for winning major world trophies," said the 19-year-old defender, "I would like to play there even though it would be difficult to succeed in winning a first eleven place."

Juventus Following The 'New Cafu'
12/30/2003. According to Spanish newspapers, Juventus are reportedly very interested in Daniel Alves, right full-back of Seville.
The Brazilian player has been recently followed by Juve scouts in the Under-20 World Cup and has apparently been appreciated by the Juventus executives.
Alves is currently on loan to Seville from Bahia and the Spanish club has an option to buy him at the end of the season for around 1.5 million Euros.

Bolton connection
I thought Bolton had some form of connection with juve especially in respect of them looking at our stadium and marketing. We were led to believe player exchanges could be in the offing. What happened to all of that??????? We were linked with Zalyetta?? pre season.

Fava is a good player but juventus dont need him. Del Piero, Trezeguet & Di Vaio are all top class players with heaps of experience in internationals, The World Cup and The Champions League. Juventus should be focusing on the defensive areas a new defender
a big name eg Ac Milan have Shevchenko a awesome player but inzaghi has his in and out of form periods but what i think what won them the Champions League was the defence with both Nesta & Maldini both in the prime of there carear and cafu a brazilian international

Juve in Fulham threat
Pay the lady or else. :nel:
Juventus have warned Fulham that they could take back former ‘keeper Edwin Van Der Sar. The Serie A giants want the £2m still owed after the Dutch international left them in 2001.
