Amauri > Gilardino. I was a fan, but over the last 2 season's he has declined. He is more concerned with his next dive than his next goal. Amauri is a more complete player, more skilled, in better form, and over the past 2 season's his influence has continued to grow, whereas Gilardino cant even force himself into an injury filled lineup and is skipped over for an 18 yr old with no serie a experience. Not to mention Milan paid £18m, so they wont accept an offer of 5 mil.

A package deal for Hamsik is the only way to go. Napoli are also interested in Nocerino and Iaquinta!
Amauri is > than Gilardino, but we have Trezeguet and Iaquinta. Amauri is not better than Del Piero as an SS and I would also rather see Giovinco subbing with ADP. Amauri is a high maintenance player who would be riding the bench. Mabye a couple years from now we can afford to spend big bucks on backup players, but for now, Gilardino, Iaquinta and Giovinco seem to be a good backup strike core.
Gilardino will not be expensive. His market value will fall to pitiful lows. Who the heck would spend more than 5m on him?

Amauri is a good player, but I he is too expensive for what he will be... a backup to Trezeguet. Gilardino and Iaquinta are fine subs.

Hopefully Amauri, Trezeguet and Del Piero are played together in a trident. Whatever the case, I dont think Amauri is being bought as a sub. With more games next season, I think every1 will get a fair chance upfront.

Juventus invite offers for Palladino, Iaquinta
tribalfooball.com - May 16, 2008
Juventus are putting attacking midfielder Raffaele Palladino up for sale.
Corriere dello Sport says Vincenzo Iaquinta could also be on his way as Juve prepare to close an agreement for Palermo ace Amauri.
Palladino's name has already been circulated around Italy and Napoli, Sampdoria and Fiorentina have all been quick to register their interest.

Getting rid of Iaqunita is pointless, even in a deal for Amauri.
He's got pace, we need that.

Being linked with Aquilani again. Iaquinta or Palladino + cash is the rumour. I'm not sure whether Roma would accept. Pizarro start's over Aquilani, and Roma need a striker. Plus I'm sure the cash part would be at least £10m, so they can either buy a pretty good Pizarro sub, or use the cash for a fb (Pasqual and Vargas could be bought for less). They might be tempted, but I cant see Aquilani leaving Roma.

Aquilani > Pizarro.
Honestly, I don't think we have a chance. Plus, why the hell would he sign for us anyway? He's living his dream.

I prefer Aquilani over Pizarro as well. Pizarro at times gets himself in trouble by over playing the ball. But, Aquilani is injury prone. He's a little too fragile. Roma need a striker and or a replacement for Mancini if he leaves. Aquilani hasn't r-signed his contract yet, so anything is possible.

Wayne Bridge. There are enough available lb's in Italy (Pasqual, Varags, De Ceglie, Dossena), so I dont c y we would be looking towards England.

Juventus director general Jean-Claude Blanc has flown to Liverpool with the intention of signing Xabi Alonso.
All three major sports newspapers in the peninsula today lead with the Old Lady’s interest in the Spaniard and a deal could be on the horizon.
Having virtually wrapped up the signature of Amauri from Palermo, the Italian giants have turned to landing a quality midfielder and Alonso seems to be their man.
The classy playmaker has been associated with the Bianconeri in the past and they have revived their interest following Champions League qualification.
Stories suggest that Blanc has held talks with the Anfield management and little separates the clubs seeing as Juve have offered £11m and the Reds want £14m.
Further talks for the 26-year-old will reportedly take place next week, but confidence is high that a deal could be done after Juve signed Momo Sissoko from the Premiership side in January.
However, it’s unclear whether the Spanish international, tied to Liverpool until 2012, is willing to leave his present side.
"At the moment I am with Liverpool, I have a contract with Liverpool and I want to be at Liverpool,” he told skysports.com recently.
"I have been surprised and very disappointed to read that I want to leave Liverpool. The people who write these things have clearly not done very rigorous research."
Juventus do need fresh faces in midfield as flops Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes are set to be sold after failing to settle in Turin.

A good passer, exactly what we need in the centre of midfield. I think he'd do well in Italy.
£14m is probably slightly too much though.
