What about Legrottaglie? I'm not too convinced about it. I would try and package him up in a trade.

Legro = squad player.
His performances this season might just have warranted him another season at the club though.
In truth we need the cover.

Signing Amauri would limit Palladino's chances upfront, and since he has struggled on the wings, we will probably sell him (although hopefully just a co-own).
Napoli arent in need of money. They are rumoured to have a nice transfer budget this summer, so if we want any of their players, cash alone wont do it.

We have a solid team with grit. We just need to add fancy gold trimming now.
A Nedved replacement (Hopefully Giovinco will get a chance), a CB and a striker are all that is required, imo.

Argentine youngster Pablo Piatti’s agent has confirmed that Juventus are keeping an eye on the talented forward.
At just 19, Piatti is one of the hottest properties in Argentine football and is an Under-20 international forward.
He has made his name as a second striker at Estudiantes and has been tipped for the top by Juve hitman David Trezeguet.
“Right now Piatti is only being watched and that is by Juventus,” Gustavo Goñi told Goal.com.
“However, as yet Estudiantes have not received any concrete offer and have not begun negotiations.
“Piatti’s dream, like all South American players, is to play in one of Europe’s most important League and of course Serie A is one of those.
“I have no doubt that Pablo will play for one of the best clubs in Europe.”
Whether or not Juve make a move may depend on the fee they pay for Palermo’s striking star Amauri, if today’s negotiations produce and agreement.

His price will be high given all the interest from other clubs. Also, I dont think we are willing to enter a bidding war for another small, quick, creative, technically gifted youngster, when all we need to do is bring Giovinco back from loan.

Spanish sports daily AS reports that Juventus manager Claudio Ranieri and sporting director Alessio Secco are looking into the prospect of landing Real Madrid pair Gonzalo Higuaín and Mamadou Diarra.
Ranieri is said to have developed a keen interest in the pair, who are in and out of Bernd Schuster's line-up at the Bernabéu.
Now, according to AS, Secco met a week ago with Pedja Mijatovic and Carlos Bucero with the aim of landing the two in time for next season.
In the case of Higuaín, the Italian side's interest is apparently not new. Prior even to the end of the 2006-07 season, the Old Lady spoke to Mijatovic on several occasions about the prospect of landing the Argentine.
However, then as now, there will be no earnest discussions until the season finishes, with caoch Bernd Schuster's wish to make no decision about the young forward until after silverware is settled being respected in the Spanish capital.
Diarra's situation, though, is slightly different. Although Schuster is happy to maintain the Malian as part of his squad, it is thought that the directorship is keen to oust the midfielder, and therefore will listen to offers already.

No need for either. Also, considering what Madrid paid for them, they wont come cheaply. There are better players we could sign for alot less.

Giovinco is top-class, and he's the man to replace Nedved, if Nedved goes on another season. He can't just be tossed in as a regular, he needs to rotate with a veteran like Nedved next season imo. That situation would be great for both, Giovinco gets a good few games, and Nedved's fitness is preserved for big encounters. Similarly to what we've done at United this season rotating Nani and Giggs.
May be ambitious, or possibly even a bit early for him, but if you're looking at Napoli players, Fabiano Santacroce looks some player for CB. Like Hamsik, this has been his break out season (albeit with a later start). Perhaps an experienced centre-half would be better, what with Criscito coming along, but would you take him?

Santacroce was 1 of Napoli's better player's last time our 2 sides met. Him and Trez had a go each other a few times lol. He looks like a good prospect, but we already have Criscito, and I dont think Santacroce is any better. Neither, however, are consistent/experienced enough to force Chiellini/Legro out of the backline. I think Mellberg is going to be our only cb signing.
In terms of our defense, my only concern is our fb's. We havent got any good offensive service out of them this season.

Claudio Ranieri is set to raid the Premiership for top stars such as Frank Lampard, Mathieu Flamini, Patrice Evra and Gerard Pique’.
Juventus are heading for the Champions League and aim to strengthen their squad considerably over the summer to mount a credible hunt for European and Italian glory.
Their interest in want-away Arsenal midfielder Flamini – facing a transfer battle with Milan – is no secret, but today the Corriere dello Sport claims there are other targets on English soil.
Manchester United defenders Evra and Pique’ are potential new arrivals, using Raffaele Palladino as bait considering he has long been admired by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The ‘dream’ signing since the moment Ranieri set foot in Turin has been his former Chelsea protégé Lampard.
The chances of a negotiation are good, although so far Juventus have baulked at the £5.5m per season wage demands.
The Bianconeri can raise more cash during their planned jaunt to Britain next week, as Tiago Mendes continues to be of interest to Tottenham.
Sergio Almiron is set to return from his six-month loan spell at Monaco and might head to the Premier League for West Ham, Middlesbrough or Spurs.

There are less costly alternatives to Pique and Evra (I doubt Utd would sell anyways) and Lampard isn't worth his wages (he wants more than Buffon).
Flamini on a free transfer is good business, although Milan want him as well. Im not to thrilled with the idea of playing with 2 dm's, so Milan can have him.

Pique can't be too happy with us right now. We put him in, he played well, then we dropped him for what was surely his dream encounter (Barcelona) and didn't include him in today's squad at all. It's looking like a Rossi situation, so he may be available.

I think Secco is heading the right direction with some of his picks. But, he has to make sure that he picks players with the Juventus mentality, and players who will fit into the system so we don't have another Tiago situation.
My Transfer Targets
CB - STENDARDO, Guglielmo 26 (Lazio)
LB - GROSSO, Fabio 29 (Lyon)
DM - FLAMINI, Mathieu 24 (Arsenal)
SM - HAMSIK, Marek 21 (Napoli)
SS - GIOVINCO, Sebastian 21 (Empoli)
CF - AMAURI 28 (Palermo)
_______________________________
This will give us some players that bring youth, as well as players in their primes. Grosso is ageing, but he is still a very influencial, and most importantly, clutch player. To me, he is a major key to our squad next year.
_______________________________
BUFFON
ZEBINA - LEGROTTAGLIE - CHIELLINI - GROSSO
CAMORANESI - SISSOKO - FLAMINI - NEDVED
TREZEGUET - DEL PIERO
_____________________________________
BELARDI
GRYGERA - MELLBERG - STENDARDO - MOLINARO
SALIHAMIDZIC - NOCERINO - ZANETTI - HAMSIK
GIOVINCO
AMAURI - IAQUINTA
_____________________________________
I think this is a pretty powerful 23-Man lineup. Not as silky as most fans would like, but certainly capable of winning the scudetto which should be our primary goal. We will need to replace Camoranesi and especially Nedved soon, which is why I see Hamsik is the perfect option to compliment Pavel next season.
We should sell Andrade, Almiron, Tiago, Palladino, Boumsong and Marchionni.
This would give us a nice balance of money heading outward and inward, which is what any smart club would need to consider. Molinaro could be sacrificed as well if we need some extra money because we have Salihamidzic, Grygera and Chiellini who can all cover for Grosso. However, he would provide some good depth and speed for matches with the smaller Serie A sides.
______________________________________
Flamini is the perfect partner for Sissoko in my opinion. Many people think we need more "creativity" in the central midfield, but since Sissoko is not tactically minded and likes to attack too much, a tactically sound player like Flamini would be the perfect compliment. Besides, Camoranesi, Del Piero and Nedved will be creative enough, especially with the help of Hamsik, Amauri, and Giovinco behind them in the lineup.
_______________________________________
Hamsik is one of the best young players in the world right now and the natural heir to Nedved's throne. He idolized Pavel as a kid and although he may be afraid to step into Nedved's shoes, I think we should make him. He will be the toughest buy this off-season, but he might possibly the most shrewd.
Giovinco is a soon-to-be superstar. I predict that he will be starting most of our Serie A games by mid-season. He is not the next Del Piero, he is the first Giovinco and a great one he will be. Especially if he hits the weights.
Amauri is a good fit, but I don't see him ever starting over the human goal-machine David Trezeguet. But, the striker position will be up for grabs next year and we may want to sell Iaquinta. He has done a great job for us this year, especially when Del Piero was in a funk, but if we pick up Amauri and Giovinco, which looks extremely possible, then he might be used as the key to getting Hamsik. I wouldn't complain about that.

I don't see Giovinco as a long term solution to our LM role. I see Giovinco as the heir to Del Piero. Giovinco has been much more effective in the middle of the park for Empoli. Even though he is good as a SM, he is much better in a more advanced trequarista role. I think we should look at Hamsik or Emanuelson for Nedved's role.
As for Santacroce... he is excellent, but we have Chiellini who is 24 and Criscito who is 21. Criscito will need at least two more season out on loan, but he will eventually take over for Legrottaglie. Criscito is the guy we should put our faith in, but I have no objections to bringing in Santacroce as an RB, or loaning him back out. It would be a nice financial investment at least, although I doubt Marino would be so blind.

Welcome tonykart.
I'm not sure if Stendardo is worth Lazio's asking price. He hasn't played enough games yet, and we could pay a little more and try to get Zapata, who would be a starter.
I want a world class player in our backline. Chiellini will become a star, but the rest are decent/good players. Legro has played well this season, but he will never be a great player. I imagine Mellberg will do a decent job, but there was hardly a list of club's lining up for his services, and that's for a reason. Grosso would be great, but I think our situation at rb is weaker than at lb. Molinaro cant cross for shit, but at least he gets himself involved. The same cant be said about Grygera, who up until the game vs Genoa, was overall having a disappointing season. Zebina is always injured, and if he manages to string some injury free games together, he will do something stupid and get suspended.
Giovinco will be at Juve next season if management want to keep their job's. He has been the most impressive youngster in serie a this season, easily. Plus his speed, dribling and creativity are exactly what are midfield need's atm. Whether as a left sided AM, or behind the strikers, I dont care. Ranieri seems to prefer the 4-4-2, but he did use the trequartista a few times this season. Coupled with mid week games, Im sure we will see him played in both positions.
Boumsong got sold to Lyon in January, but I agree with the rest of the player's u have listed as being sold. I would only sell half of Palladino though. Ranieri played him out of position, so it's to early to judge imo.
You're right about Amauri not starting over Trez, but he will probably start over Del Piero. He will be our Ibra, although Amauri is a better finisher. At Del Piero's age, he doesn't have the leg's to play twice a week, so I dont think it will be an issue.

Juventus are being linked with a summer swoop for former Udinese midfielder Sulley Muntari.
Despite exceeding expectations this term, the Old Lady are looking to strengthen for a Scudetto challenge next season and the midfield is expected to be the priority.
Ghanaian international Muntari shone for Udinese between 2002 and 2007 and made over 100 appearances for the Zebrette before a £7m transfer to Portsmouth last May.
Juve were expected to attempt a coup before Muntari relocated to Fratton Park, but former Coach Didier Deschamps reportedly snubbed him.
After a glittering campaign, the 23-year-old is reportedly a target for a number of clubs, including Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool, but Juve could join the hunt.
According to Tuttosport, Claudio Ranieri is a great admirer of Muntari and has encouraged the directors to make funds available for the deal, even in the event of a bidding war.

His time in Italy wasn't as impressive. If the price is right, I think he would a decent signing if were looking for more steel in the midfield. I think we can do better though.
