In three words: Not good enough.
At best a squad player, he has the tricks and has a decent shot but he just lacks that bit of consistency that could have him playing for a big club. He's been very good for Blackburn but this is Juve not a mid-table Premiership team.

The Gazzetta and L'Equipe have all picked up the Lampard story, but without any independent reporting. As you may know, this is very typical for this time of year, when lazy hacks with language skills fill their column inch quota with lazy translations of transfer rumours, to which they add even more fevered and baseless speculation of their own, thereby creating a kind of feedback loop of disinformation.
The wages are indeed the real sticking point and the reason why the fevered speculation in England of Lampard being on the verge of joining Barca, Juve, etc, is either completely unreported in the European press or noted with a very jaundiced eye.

Yeah, me too.
The recent reports suggest we'll get him for a decent price as well.

Lampard, A.Diarra, Makoun, Gilberto, Almiron, Tiago, Lucho Gonzalez, Dudu, Mavuba, Sissoko, Bodmer, Xabi, M. Diarra for cm/dm, and probably a few more Im missing. We have been consistently linked with so many players, I have given up on caring about this summer's mercato. I want it over with.

top of the google search lol.
Hopefully our 2 biggest signings arent Lippi and Buffon. That would obviously be fantastic, but with all this speculation, I expect some good signings.

Nah, at the moment Lippi and Buffon are the uncertainties.
The only thing we know for sure is that enough transfer money is available to bring in quality players and that's what we're going to do.
