I have to agree that Chelsea statch talent. They don't seem to develop their own youth but instead, they get youth from other teams and then pass it off as their own. They buy youngsters from other English teams and from abroad and then pretend that they are a product of the Chelsea academy. The only quality I can remember Chelsea actually producing through the youth system if JT. Who is the most recent youth player that has actually been a part of the Chelsea academy before another and gone on to achieve success??? Casing Point.

Chelsea are just doing a Wenger, remember he's the man that "changed the face of English football" by snatching promising youngsters from other teams.

It's tells you the state of ENGLISH football that they have to get a large amount of players from other countries, instead of developing English players. We did this in Scotland and well...

Part of this is the FA's fault of course. They have that moronic rule where you can't have English talent that live a certain distance from your club.

Reggina's farewell to Camilleri Thursday 21 February, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reggina’s schoolboy team have sent an open letter to Vincenzo Camilleri, the young star who is set to desert the club for Chelsea.

The 15-year-old was expected to sign a full contract with the Amaranto later this year, but he has caused controversy by holding talks with Chelsea instead.

While Reggina appeal the negotiations, which they claim is “theft”, Camilleri’s teammates at the Stadio Granillo have sent him an emotive farewell message.

“Dear Vincenzo, you left so suddenly that we didn’t even get to say goodbye,” it begins.

“Over these last three years we have shared everything – the accommodation, the trips to school, the canteen, the joy of a victory and the anger at defeat, the training and the shouts of Coach Pierantonio Tortelli.

“Our friendship was born on the pitch and continued within the walls of the St Agata sports centre, which was our house.

“Do you remember when you got picked for the Coppa Italia game against Inter?
You were so happy and we felt the same for you.

“On Sunday we won against Lecce. We spoke so many times about how we thought it would be difficult to beat the leaders, but we did it. We were so happy, but like everything else it would have been better with you there.”

UEFA President Michel Platini has given Reggina his backing and the club have the support of the FIGC as they appeal against Chelsea’s actions.

The rules will change, sometimes it takes things like this to rile up a federation or country.

It is funny though.....English teams having so much interest in Italy.
