Toni craves Serie A comeback Monday 26 November, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Azzurri hitman Luca Toni has revealed that he would like to return to Serie A, but he won’t be leaving Bayern Munich this summer.
The towering striker left Fiorentina for Bayern Munich in a £7m pre-season transfer and has been prolific in the Bundesliga so far.
While the Bavarian fans have taken to Toni, he has already admitted that he feels nostalgia for his homeland and has reaffirmed his desire to come back.
“I am just a few goals from reaching the milestone of 100 Serie A goals,” Toni told Domenica Sportiva on Rai 2.
“That’s why sooner or later I will return to Italy, but it won’t be next year as it’s still too soon.”
Toni has found the net nine times in 12 games for Bayern and has 92 Serie A goals to his name.

I didn't think he would retire at Bayern either, but it's a bit too soon to talk about returning to Italy no ?
Anyway, I just hope he keeps scoring and help us win the CL next season

Is it a five year contract he's on with Bayern?
But yeah, either way he'll return eventually.

I think it's a 4 year contract, at least that's what transfermarkt says:
Luca Toni (FC Bayern München) - Profil - transfermarkt.de
Either way, can't see him finishing his contract, I reckon he'll leave in 2010.

Not surprised by his words..
I know he won't retire at Bayern.
He'll eventually return to Serie A one day.
Not sure if he'll finish his contract with Bayern, everything will depend on the situation, on Luca's form and other factors.
I can see him leaving one year before his contract ends, but that's only my predicition.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the present, I love seeing Luca bang the goals for Bayern.

Angry Kahn rages at Toni Tuesday 11 December, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has hit out at Luca Toni after the marksman's recent dry spell.
The former Fiorentina star raced to nine Bundesliga goals in Bayern’s superb start to the campaign, but he has since scored just once in seven outings.
As Die Roten face the prospect of losing their top spot over Christmas, Kahn has criticised the way the new faces have let their standards drop in recent weeks.
“The new players need to get used to our high expectations,” the 38-year-old rasped in Kicker Magazine.
“It’s not enough to make a bright start - one or two players have to learn that two or three good games aren’t enough.
“Bayern is not Marseille or Fiorentina – we are like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United.
“Furthermore, it is hard to get the team together as we always need three interpreters. We aren’t playing enjoyable football anymore and every game it is getting a bit worse.”
Before the Christmas break, Bayern must travel to Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga and host Greek outfit Aris Salonika in a UEFA Cup clash.

I think Kahn should retire, just complete assinine comments. Luca Toni does not deserve that type of remarks made about him in public. Just simply unacceptable from every perspective.

I believe the club aren't too happy and they've fined Kahn.

Crazy Toni banged 4 goals as Bayern thrashed Aris Saloniki 6-0.
Toni answered Kahn's critics in the best way possible.

“Everyone knows that I nearly joined Inter two years ago and that Juventus were interested in signing me,” the ex-Brescia man told Il Giornale.
“However, with Milan it went a lot further – I had already signed a contract. I could also have been a Roma player as they nearly signed me when I was playing for Cisco Roma.”

I always knew this.
Pelle will follow the same road.
