Ya, once he found out about Serie B, he couldn't of left any faster. In regards to Milan....what about Master Lippi? Ancelotti may not get axed...Milan is on fire now?

I think Ancelotti will go whatever happens. The club say otherwise but in all honesty if they want to move forward they need to ditch him. Lippi is a possibility for them but Juventus may also be interested so you never know.
Basically of the 'big' Italian teams only Milan is a realistic option for Capello in my opinion.

Real Madrid have dismissed claims by a Spanish radio station that boss Fabio Capello has handed in his resignation.
Cadena Cope today started a sporting hurricane in Spain after insisting that the Italian would quit the outfit after Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.
However, Real Madrid organised an emergency Press conference in the Spanish capital this evening to rubbish the claims.
"The board is unaware of any resignation by Fabio Capello and we were very surprised by the reports that appeared in the media," club spokesman Miguel Angel Arroyo said.
"It hardly contributes to the right atmosphere on the eve of such an important match as tomorrow's game.
"Reports like this only serve to destabilise the club and we'd like to express our surprise and dismay about this type of report.
"In this world you can assure very few things, but I can guarantee that that the board has not received any resignation from Fabio Capello either verbally or in written form."
The former midfielder, who won the Liga title with Real during his one campaign there in the mid 1990s, has been under pressure for some weeks now.
Real have already lost seven times in 23 League games and the 0-0 draw with Betis left them four points behind leaders Barcelona.
He’s also had high-profile bust-ups with David Beckham and Antonio Cassano, players who he’s frozen out of the squad for a period of time.
Capello, who according to Cadena Cope would be replaced by former player Michel, signed for Real from Juventus in the summer.
Whispers suggest that Capello has a clause in his Real contract which states that he would net £11m – his total salary up until 2009 – if he was sacked.

Then what happenes to Ancelotti...where does he go, Spain, EPL...there was rumours of that a while ago as well. It will be an interesting Summer with Lippi, Ancelotti, Deschamps, Capello.
Can't wait for the outcome of the press conf...If he leave, the rumours will start to fly.

I think where Ancelotti goes depends on what happens with Mancini and Spalletti. If Mancini goes to England and Spalletti joins Inter then I can see Ancelotti ending up at Roma.

Spalletti resigned for 5 years with Roma...i think until 2011.
Spalletti agrees five-year extension
I can see Ancelotti being in charge of Roma at some point. But not anytime soon. I think Mancini will remain at Inter. Inter are on fire, no reason to get rid of him. He's gone a great job!

It probably is, Madrid were most likely expecting him to be a huge success (ie. they wouldn't have to sack him).

Fabio Capello is willing to resign as Coach of Real Madrid so long as he’s offered a compensation package, according to speculation in Spain.

Good for Capello. If Madrid want him gone...then they will have to pay. Looks like he is leaving it in the hands of Madrid...take me or leave me...but pay me regardless! Nice!

I'm not sure how teams expect to turn things around in one season with a new coach???
Just plain stupid. Granted, he went to Juve and had success, but Juve had the building blocks, unlike Real Madrid.
They did kick ass today though.

Yeah, the 3-2 win over Bayern was a decent result.
The problem is that they've signed a lot of new players this season, both in the summer and in January. At the moment it's just not a team.

Ronaldo takes another strike at Capello......
Quote:
Ronaldo slams Capello
Thursday 8 March, 2007
Ronaldo has slammed his former Coach Fabio Capello stating that his methods are old fashioned, but Hector Cuper was worse.
The Brazilian returned to Italy in January, joining Milan from Real Madrid in a £5m move, also motivated by the lack of faith Capello seemed to have for him.
But now the Merengues’ poor performances in both La Liga and the Champions League have confirmed the Coach’s difficult relationship with his players.
“He is clearly in difficulty, he cannot be trusted any more,” Ronaldo said in an interview with weekly newspaper Panorama.
“He must understand that the time for authoritarian Coaches has ended, his way of dealing with his players is not up-to-date,” added Il Fenomeno.
“However, with Cuper it was even worse. Capello at least has a history behind him, he has won a lot. What has Cuper won?” added the striker, who controversially left Inter in 2002.
Inter and Milan meet on Sunday afternoon in the Derby della Madonnina, when Ronaldo will face his former teammates for the first time since his move to their city rivals, which did not please Nerazzurri chief Massimo Moratti.
“I understand his criticism, he had to say those things about my transfer, it was inevitable. In private however it is different, I have a deep affection for him.”
The former Golden Ball winner could not avoid a question on his weight either, which he answered with a smile on his face.
“Sooner or later I will take some pictures naked, so all this gossip on me being fat will finally end!,” he grinned. <--- Gross...mental picture! Thanks #99

Capello stays on board....for now! But that's a lot of money to dish out...

Capello gets reprieve
Thursday 8 March, 2007
Fabio Capello will remain in charge of Real Madrid at least until Saturday’s big match with Barcelona.
The Blancos were knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday by Bayern Munich, aggravating Capello’s position, as the Merengues have won just one of their last six Liga matches.
Capello has been heavily criticised by the club’s supporters and the media and Saturday's match with Barca is even more important after both clubs’ European exits.
“At the moment, Capello continues on the bench and will be in charge against Barcelona,” sporting director Predrag Mijatovic told Canal Plus.
“The Bayern defeat is a very tough blow for us, we were not expecting this,” continued the former Fiorentina striker.
“I am worried because there are certain things that are hard to understand. A team that is not good has eliminated us, but we need to get over that disappointment.
“Now, we must focus on the game against Barcelona and then there will come a time for analysis and reflection.”
Real Madrid had won the first leg in Spain, but Roy Makaay scored the quickest goal in the competition's history, after only 11 seconds, a fact which Mijatovic considers unacceptable.
“We made a gift of the first goal and that is something you can’t afford to do at this level,” he stormed.
“That goal means that we were not concentrating enough from the very start. The season is not over with this or Saturday’s game, but it’s a really tough break.”
Spanish Radio Cadena Cope reported on Thursday that President Ramon Calderon has not yet fired Capello only because this would cost him £11m due to a clause in the former Juve Coach’s contract.
