Ipswich come up against a resurgent Preston at Portman Road on Saturday.

Alan Lee is set to start up front for Ipswich, although it remains to be seen whether Pablo Counago, Jon Walters or Billy Clarke will partner him.

Lilywhites boss Paul Simpson will give late fitness tests to Matt Hill (hamstring) and Paul Gallagher (groin) before finalising his line-up.

Karl Hawley's first goal for the club in the midweek romp over Southampton should ensure he starts again up front.

Ipswich 2-1 Preston

Ipswich survived a late scare to seal a 2-1 win over Preston at Portman Road. Town were cruising thanks to goals either side of the break from Alan Lee and Tommy Miller. But Preston were handed a lifeline when Neil Mellor was awarded a controversial penalty which he got up to convert. North End then pushed for an unlikely leveller - but Ipswich held out to claim the victory.
