Looking ahead

When will town realise that their debt cannot be wiped out playing in the championship, that they must look further ahead, and a return to the premier league is the only answer. Surely there are players we can afford to bolster the defence as we have a surfiet of midfielders and strikers. What's the old saying "speculate to accumulate".?

Well we just appear to be going backwards at the moment, we're in desperate need of Defenders as Harding, Wright, Bruce and De Vos know they're always guarenteed to play, no competition for places. We desperately need a towering defender, someone where he'll win everything in the air and strikers just bounce of him.

It appears Sheepshanks is basing our future on outside investment, but with £30m+ debts are we really that much of an attractive investment?

I think it will take many years till we'll see Ipswich playing at the highest level again. Maybe never...

You could very well be right but I sincerely hope not. To think of a team that has won both an FA and UEFA cup slipping down into the lower reaches beggars belief but it does happen. Forest for example.
