Miller set for Town return
Quote:
Skysports.com understands Ipswich are set to re-sign Tommy Miller.
Miller is a free agent after being released by Sunderland at the end of last season.
The likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Preston and Hearts have all expressed an interest in Miller, but it appears Ipswich have won the race for his signature.
Miller is a big favourite at Portman Road after four successful years at the club before he left to join Sunderland.
Town boss Jim Magilton is keen to bolster his squad as he looks to improve on last season and he sees Miller as a key addition to his side.

Miller ain't the same quality as he was before he left Ipswich.

Ipswich really struggle to reinforce their team.I don't think Magilton do a good job on signings.

I'm happy with re-signing Pablo, he had quality but Royle had a vendetta against him due to his wage, with confidence he will flourish, Don't want Miller back, we have plenty of Midfielders already! Fair enough Miller can score goals from Midfield which we lack, but so often he just goes missing!
Jim needs to realise it's defenders we need, and a lot of 'em.

Miller agrees Ipswich return
Quote:
Tommy Miller has agreed a two-year contract to return to Ipswich Town.
Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that the midfielder was in talks regarding a deal with his former club.
Ipswich have now confirmed that Miller has accepted an offer and will finalise his move later in the week.
"I can confirm that we have agreed a deal with Tommy and he has passed a medical," Town boss Jim Magilton told the club's official website.
"He's gone home to get a few things sorted out and pick up some clothes, and will be back at the club on Thursday morning to sign his contract and start training."
Miller was available on a free transfer from Sunderland after not being offered a new contract at the end of last season.
Prior to signing for Sunderland in 2005, the 28-year-old scored 36 goals in 139 appearances in a four-year spell at Portman Road.

Will he take Ipswich's penalty kicks like he did last time he played for them?

Without a doubt, although Alan Lee may have something to say about it as he had a 100% record from the spot, but Miller was brilliant from 12 yards

I don't think it's fair if Lee loses the penalty kicks if he has 100% score on all kicks from the spot.At least wait until he blow it.

But to be fair, Tommy Miller has had a 100% record over his whole career, and always looked certain to score whenever there was a penalty to be taken.

That's real impressing.Shame he isn't a better footballer but if he was he would never end up at Ipswich again.Ipswich seems to really struggle to reinforce their team.

We just seem to be moving backwards, signing old players, when what we really need is a big centre back who can command the defence.
