Inter can do better than Muntari. And they should have used the money to get Quaresma instead.

well they are completely different players...plus it seems they weren't going to be bullied into paying the fee Porto actually wanted especially when they got another winger in Mancini.

You missed my point. I didn't say Quaresma is a better midfielder than Muntari, I said Quaresma would have been a much better signing than Muntari, someone that can add some creativity and flair to that team.

It doesn't matter if they signed Mancini, because Mourinho said he wants 2 wingers. Also, Inter offered us 20m € for Quaresma, we're no longer demanding 40m €, we've lowered it to 32m €, so Muntari's transfer money could have and should have been used to get Quaresma. That's what I'm saying.

And it's not like Inter have a lack of center-midfielders, they have Cambiasso, Vieiria, Pele, Dacourt (not a starter but still) and Zanetti plays more in midfield these days. Plus Bolzoni is apparently pretty good and they also signed some Brazilian teenager.

Funny that. Muntari is pretty much an Inter Milan midfielder all over, which is exactly what you didn't need.

Still, I think it's a decent signing, he's a good midfielder, both offensively and defensively, plus he can play left wing when needed. I just hope he doesn't spend all his time in the latter position - I hate seeing players sign for a club to play their second-best position, it's uneconomical in the end and doesn't work most of the time. With the quantity of midfielders Inter have, it's not that unlikely a scenario, and if it is the case, he's a god awful signing.

I do agree with Kahn, they'd have been better off adding a bit of creativity. yes they signed Mancini, but he could well be the only natural winger in Inter's squad by the time they've trimmed it.

No, Muntari is NOT a replacement for Quaresma. He is Lampard's replacement, and frankly, I think this is an excellent move. Cheap, with great potential.

As for RQ, I don't think Inter should be forced in paying a fee, in which I feel and they feel is completely out of whack with the realities of football today. Maybe five years ago, I agree.

Personally, I think RQ's fair value at this time is around 25 million, not over 30 million. But you know my feelings in the other thread.

Muntari will play a three man midfield with J.Zanetti and Cambiasso. But the side needs another winger I feel, but Mourinho is playing a 4-3-3, and the phenom Mario Balotelli is working well as a winger.

I have nothing but praise for him. Although he did have a little problem with cards he worked hard in defence and offense for us. Im hoping that we have a buy back clause because i never wanted him to leave but like harry redknapp said there are offers that you just cant refuse and this is one of them.

That Penalty he scored at Old Trafford is what most pompey fans will remember him by.

I can see Sulley being better than essien, considering he is 23, but looks like he is older.

i was totally hoping Lampard would be joining Inter this season. But as many suggested, signing Muntairy means JM lost his hope on Lampard.
Anyway, Mourinho has implied that Lampard does not want to join Inter.

best luck for muntairy.
Still can't wait to see JM on the side line again.

Did you not read why I said to Dellas?

Also, Muntari isn't a playmaker, so a poor replacement for Lampard if you ask me. Again, I really think you could have done much better. Specially when there's Van der vaart available for about 15m € or less.

My valuation for Quaresma is is 30m. But yes, let's not go on about that again.

Kahn? I read it, and the club is not going to pay that much. They feel differently about the whole situation. As for Muntari and needed him or not. I beg to disagree. They feel they did need him and he was too good to pass up.

Last year, we lost Vieira for most of the season. He is a replacement for him really.

J.Zanetti and Cuch to share honours as such. But yes, Inter did not succeed in Europe because of a lack of creativity, but they also suffered because of injuries. Costly injuries on defense and midfield.

I also think JM and management are looking at this for two seasons. Its hard to build a team in one season. There is also a part of me that says the side could add one AM, somebody that everybody knows, but he is not the greatest. Someone like that Carvalho at the Russian club???

Anyways RQ is a great player, they wanted him badly, but not just at that price.
