Okay, before we even talk about this.
You need to have XP installed.
Then you need to install a program called sopcast. Look it up.
And you need broadband of course.

And I felt it, and you knew it was coming.
2-2 now. We went into a shell, and now we pay for it.

I'm somewhat dumbfounded what happened after Matrix got hurt, but my only thought is that we ran out of CBs?? Vieira comes on for Matrix, and we play with only three defenders.
All in all, in a two legged affair, giving up two goals at home is a disaster. However I'm pretty sure we'll be better in the next one.
What a strange game to say the least.

Good result, shit performance. To think we were a man up is pathetic.
There is no creativity in the side at all. Our football is predictable, culminating in countless crosses which never reach their intended targets. We have arguably the best finisher in the world, especially in the air, but we cant get any decent service to him.
Belardi and Boumsong were responsible for the 1st and 2nd goals respectively. No suprises there, but that summarizes the major difference between Juve and Inter atm; depth. Our bench is shit, whereas they can rotate their starting 11 with players from the bench and still field a strong lineup.
I thought the squad would be motivated to play their bitter rivals, but it was a sad display. 1st half was ok, the 2nd half Inter were controlling the game with 10 men. Ill attribute that to Nevded, Chiellini and Buffon not playing, each leaders in their own right.
We were lucky to get the tie, and were only able to score when Inter were temporarily down to 9 men. 2 away goals will hopefully see us through, but if we play like this vs Inter when they have 11 men, were fucked.

I think a motivating factor will only last so long, I think the teams don't hate each other as you think. I think Roma and Inter hate each other. (excluding fans of course)
Right now, I think Juve is a young team that is rebuilding to be better down the road. Any success outside of the league is gravey.
Having said all of this, Burdisso has gone from a great season, to a season of complete shit. Ever since that stupid incident with Valencia, which wasn't his fault, but his play has gone down hill.
As for the second leg of this. I'm not really sure what Mancini will do and when it will be?
He could very well dress a lot of young primavera guys, which could bold well for Juve.
Sidenote, Pele is really coming of age. Best signing this season, Vieira might be gone by this time next year.

Coppa: Derby d'Italia drama! Wednesday 23 January, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a dramatic Derby d’Italia as Julio Cruz’s brace put Inter 2-0 up despite Nicolas Burdisso’s eighth-minute red card, but Juventus fought back to 2-2!
This was a hotly-anticipated Coppa Italia quarter-final, especially considering the tensions between the two clubs. Those were fired up further this week by accusations of refereeing favouritism for the Nerazzurri, to which Roberto Mancini’s men reacted by calling a Press silence. Inter had not beaten Juve in the Coppa since the 1970s.
Sergio Almiron was suspended, while Gigi Buffon, Hasan Salihamidzic and former Juve star Zlatan Ibrahimovic were not even on the bench. Long-term injuries were Mauro Camoranesi, Giorgio Chiellini, Jorge Andrade, Dejan Stankovic, Luis Figo, Douglas Maicon, Walter Samuel and Olivier Dacourt.
Juve had the first attempt, a Cristiano Zanetti strike deflected just wide, but there was bad news after just five minutes when Marco Marchionni pulled up with a suspected muscular strain. He had been out for some time earlier this season with injury and this could be another serious setback.
David Trezeguet came on in his place for an even more attack-minded squad, pushing Vincenzo Iaquinta on to the right flank.
Within seconds Alessandro Del Piero pounced on a woeful Burdisso error and the defender hacked him down from behind in a professional foul that referee Stefano Farina dubbed worthy of a straight red card. He was not the ‘last man’, as Nelson Rivas was nearby, but Del Piero had a straight line towards the goal.
Trezeguet’s glancing header was plucked out of the air and Francesco Toldo flew to fingertip a missile of a Iaquinta free kick round the post. 10-man Inter also had a chance, but Santiago Solari went for glory rather than passing to a teammate.
Inter threatened a goal from a set play, as Emanuele Belardi missed a free kick and Marco Materazzi’s header was deflected wide. From the resulting corner, the World Cup winner wanted a penalty for his pushing and shoving with Nicola Legrottaglie, but it seemed to be a mutual foul.
Julio Cruz wasted a golden opportunity on the stroke of half-time, springing the offside trap on Hernan Crespo’s pass only to cut back on to his stronger left foot, allowing the defence to close him down.
Solari went off with an elbow injury, but it was when Inter were playing with nine men that they took a shock lead! Legrottaglie and Belardi were caught out of position for Cruz to get his head to an inspired Pele pass over the top.
Less than a minute later Iaquinta tried to dribble past Rivas and wanted a penalty, but the referee waved play on. Juve’s heads visibly dropped and Inter seemed to be the team with an extra man. Christian Molinaro’s low drive was smothered and Alessandro Birindelli also went off injured.
Incredibly, 10-man Inter actually doubled their lead! Cruz was on target again, getting in front of Jean-Alain Boumsong to volley Cesar’s cross in from six yards, completing his brace.
Juve got back into it, as Materazzi was off for treatment after a clash of heads and Del Piero managed to snatch a goal back. Trezeguet had the first effort charged down, but crossed it back for Del Piero’s blistering left-foot volley into the roof of the net.
Materazzi was eventually replaced by former Juve star Patrick Vieira, moving Cesar to left-back, but the Bianconeri turned the situation around to fight back from 2-0 down to 2-2 in the space of five minutes! A corner kick was whipped in for substitute Boumsong – who was at fault for the second goal – to place a powerful header under the bar.
The drama was still not over, as Cruz risked a hat-trick when his shot cannoned off the upright with Belardi beaten.
The second leg is at Turin’s Stadio Olimpico on January 30.

Ranieri analyses "strange" clash Wednesday 23 January, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Claudio Ranieri dubs the Coppa Italia quarter-final “a very strange game” and explains how Juventus went 2-0 down to 10-man Inter.
“It was a very strange game,” he said straight after the 2-2 draw at San Siro that saw Nicolas Andre Burdisso sent off after just eight minutes.
“We wanted to get a positive result and did start off well. With the extra man we tried to spread them and although we had most of the possession, it was sterile, as we never really tested Francesco Toldo.”
Julio Cruz netted twice to give 10-man Inter a 2-0 advantage, pouncing on defensive errors.
“Inter deservedly scored twice. We seemed asleep and were not reacting at all,” continued Ranieri.
“We could not spread the play because Inter were waiting for us in the final 20 metres and remained very compact.”
It all changed in the space of five minutes, as Alessandro Del Piero and substitute Jean-Alain Boumsong completed the comeback.
“This team is always present and the two late goals were very important. It was crucial to score away from home in this competition to make the second leg easier.”
The two rivals meet again at Turin’s Stadio Olimpico on January 30.
Inter are continuing their Press silence, which was called after media criticism of the controversial 3-2 victory over Parma on Sunday evening.

Mancio: We can conquer Turin Thursday 24 January, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inter Coach Roberto Mancini was positive despite seeing his side lose a 2-0 lead in the Coppa Italia quarter-final against Juventus last night.
The League leaders were reduced to 10 men after just eight minutes when Nicolas Burdisso was sent off for a professional foul.
However, a Julio Cruz brace looked set to deliver a 2-0 win before two Juve goals in the last 11 minutes left the tie even ahead of next week’s second leg in Turin.
“It’s upsetting to concede two goals like that, but we played well,” Mancini insisted after the final whistle.
“With a numerical disadvantage we went ahead twice and I think that should give us belief for the return leg.
“I think that qualification is within our grasp as long as we go to Turin with the same spirit that we showed this evening.”
Mancini was speaking in spite of Inter’s Press silence that was declared following their controversial 3-2 win over Parma last weekend.
The winners of the Derby d’Italia clash will face either Lazio or Fiorentina in the semi-finals.
The first leg of that tie takes place at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.
