Vieira in France-Inter tug of war
Quote:
France and Inter could get into a row over whether Patrick Vieira is fit to face Italy this Saturday.
The former Arsenal midfielder sustained a calf strain during an international with Slovakia on August 22 and has not entirely recovered yet.
His only official appearance for the club this term has been 68 minutes in the Italian Super Cup, but France boss Raymond Domenech wants to field him in the starting XI this weekend.
Roberto Mancini is reportedly angry at the decision, especially as there is another international next week against Scotland.
"Vieira's physical problem is disappearing fast," assured Domenech. "Patrick is much better, then he is the one who will decide. I am not a doctor, but in my 14 year career I have never risked a player."
Over the past week Vieira has only done physiotherapy work in training for Inter.
He had a major injury last season and only made 28 appearances in all competitions.

Domenech is a prick, he's clueless.
All the better for us anyway.

He is, I'm really neutral on this to be honest. Losing Vieira is not going to make or break Inter. Though I have this feeling that Mancini feels differently.
