I think it was an own goal by Cordoba

Yeah Udinese definitely deserved that goal.
Cesar's red card was comical, he knew he was off as soon as he touched the ball...

Nice own goal by Cordoba...Inter held out so long when Cesar got sent off. Udinese had few quality chances, but glad they got the goal.

Udinese played quite well and that Quarigliaiaiaiaia person is really good. Lucky goal for Udinese but they deserved it. Inter look quite average tbh...

I thought both clubs played like shit. That was one of the worst second halfs in recent memory.
We are still in lumber, and not working hard enough. However, things can only get better, they will get there act together sooner or later. I'm trying to remember, but I believe we had a draw earlier on also.

Stankovic: "Not a disaster"
Sunday, 26 August 2007 17:59:37
MILAN - Dejan Stankovic scored Inter's first goal of the season but a late own goal from Ivan Cordoba assured Udinese a share of the points in Sunday's Serie A opener at San Siro.
"We were lacking a bit of physical condition, but it was very hard to play with this heat," the Serbian midfielder told Sky Italia.
"We could have killed off the game in the first half but the law of football punished us. We had a red card and it caused problems for us. I was hoping we might bring home a victory by battling but we conceded from a corner in added time. It's not a disaster, we just have to be a bit patient."
Against Udinese, Stankovic saw some improvements on the Super Cup performance against Roma. "We have taken some steps forward, I'm convinced that without the sending-off we could have controlled the match until the end.
"We're just at the start, there are still many matches to go. We should have killed the game off earlier. When you have the chance, you have to make it two- or three-nil and then defend your lead. This way you still have the necessary margin to bring home three points if you lack energy in the final fifteen minutes."

Fair play to you for pointing that out, however that could of happened to anyone.
Overall, I'm not too disappointed in his play today, or that of the defense.
Its just to easy to single out one player and blame him. We'll get our attack together, sooner or later.

To be fair I only watched the first 15 minutes but even so I could already see you looked shakey at the back. Udinese had some really good chances early on and they could have been prevented with better defending.
I've mentioned Cordoba before, I just don't think he's up to it anymore.

And he won't play, I think he gets the nod because of his reputation, not his current play, however he also does a lot that goes unnoticed. But defensively, that was not the problem. The problem to me, and I don't give a fuk what anyone says, is midfield. It still is very much unsettled, and this will bite us in the ass.
The failure to get a proper AM will kill us. But I'm not sure how difficult it was to get another one...but we have everything in high supply, but that.

Why not play Rivas?
I know he's inexperienced in Italy but he's got a presence like Matrix, I'm sure he was included in the squad as well.

hold on Joel, regardless to how Shit we played, it was 1-0, until the last minute of injury time. So in essence, we could of easily won the game with ten men.
So to counterpoint your arguement of playing Rivas or not, is pretty much a nil factor. The defense though shakey, was not the reason we didn't win. For me, it has been our crap play in midfield, and failure to muster any creativity.
Rivas could of made a serious mistake earlier on, and we could of lost this game, let alone draw.
Playing with ten men and getting a draw against Udinese was not a total lost, albeit far from what our lineup should get.
Its funny, Inter have made some real smart moves in the last few years, but their failure to get an AM could really fuk them up in Serie A and Europe.
However, watch them do well in Europe now......
