Inter want Messi
He's contracted with Barca until 2014 but it seems Moratti is willing to break the bank and pay his £107m release clause.

I think its a bit risky investing so much money on just 1 player. If the figures are correct, Inter could get 2-3 world class players for the price of Messi. If Messi flops, how the hell do they recoup that loss?

Well Moratti doesn't think like that. He only cares about what he wants, not about what the club needs.
Just look at Recoba and how much money has been invested in him down the years.

Even for so much money i wouldn't want him to leave Barca. He's potentially the best player of the world
Btw even if they offer so much money, why would messi want to leave barca for inter?

I've already stated a couple of times that messi's not going to leave.. he's recently said : " I have never thought of leaving Barça. I never took those offers seriously, because my intention is to spend many years in this club and, if it is possible, retire at Barça"
http://en.lionelmessi.org/
+ his sell out clause is 175 MILLION (yes 25 more than ronaldinho) soo i dont think 107 would get them anywhere ANYWAY... but yes the whole world wants him.. they can just forget it..

He has been with Barca since his early teens. Barca have put alot of work into developing him as a player. The high release clause is pretty much a hands off warning.
He is good, but no player is worth that much, especially at his age. U could buy over 3 Shevchenko types players for that money.

Would be a huge step down, Inter would ruin his career.

Inter would end up being bankrupt just so they can out do Milan should they get Ronaldinho
messi is still young their are many things that could hamper his potential so its extrememly risky business investing that much money (which not even zidane at his peak would have been worth) to a player that could be plagued by injuries his entire career

he's played for barça since the age of 12, he came to spain coz his family could find his treatment there.. barça has paid for it.. he's grateful towards them.. + messi's a typical liga player... he doesnt fit in in other leagues imo not at all.. he loves it there 'its the best club in the world' why leave..he gets to stay in a spanish speaking country which is easy for him (coz he doesnt speak any other language) he gets to play with the worlds best.. he gets to grown under rijkaard's wings.. which has obviously done him very good.. messi and barça have a give and take relationship and it's probably never going to stop..

i dont think messi's injury prone if you're aming at that.. but yeah you dont know what'll happen..but he'll progress he's a player that wants to reach goals.. he'll want to lead argetina one day, he wants the world cup.. this is not a guy about to fall of.. and as he said.. its a warning sign.. ppl would first have to get the 175 M to even get close to him.. not many clubs have that.. mayb only chelsea.. and messi in england is not going to happen.. and he said he doesnt even take the offers seriously .. no one at barça does.. its a special club with a completely unique feeling to it.. no.. messi loves it..he'll not go

the only place messi could go some day would be argentina.. but they're not barça.. they'll have his heart back there..he'll have fast play + he'll be where he loves life the most..but barça has been his home for 7 years..he loves that too.. going to argentina would make him lose the great european games.. champions league..and everything barça can offer him what.. 'poor' argentinians cant.. so noo .. spain's the place for him..

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard and Morratti has lost his mind if he's going to try and do it.

The report only says "the Inter President seems willing to make a sacrifice in order to lure the talent away from Barcelona.", not that he wants to pay the full 107m. Because of the fact that there aren't any quotes in that article, i won't take it seriously
