I was hoping for Suazo to go to Fiorentina or Roma, where he would get to play. Fantastic player, that I fear would be under-utilized at Inter

I don't think so mate. Mancini doesn't work that way, if Sauzo plays, and he produces, he will play. Simple as that.

We are going to need four capable strikers, he will play enough.

Roma only have one, Totti. As Vucinic and Tavano look to exit and Motella looks to play for Napoli. Can't believe Inter beat Roma with Suazo, we really needed him.

Suazo was close to Roma
Monday 4 June, 2007
Cagliari President Massimo Cellino has revealed that striker David Suazo was set to join Roma in January.

The Honduran player, who scored 14 goals this season, is now ready to join Inter with the move expected to be officially confirmed in the next few days.

Suazo will leave the Stadio Sant’Elia after eight years in Sardinia and Cellino had already stated in the past that he would have preferred to have made a deal with the capital city club.

“In February, Suazo was a Roma player, but I had asked the Giallorossi not to negotiate directly with the striker,” explained Cellino to Il Corriere dello Sport.

“Then Inter made an offer and the player has made it clear since then that he wants to move to Milan,” added the Isolani chief.

“I considered Roma the ideal solution for the technical counterparts they could offer us, Inter’s players are a bit too young.

“In any case, I think Robert Acquafresca, Federico Piovaccari and Jonathan Biabany will be included in the deal.”

The latest reports claim that Inter and Cagliari have agreed to the general terms of the deal, thought to be worth around £10m, but are still discussing some of the details.

Piovaccari has stated that he would like to continue his spell with Triestina, while Cagliari’s request for young defender Marco Andreolli has been turned down.

The San Siro outfit might now decide to offer 20-year-old Nigerian striker Victor Obinna, who Inter helped Chievo acquire in 2005, and a final decision is expected in the next 48 hours.

I'm not sure about the entire polatics here, but it seems to me, that Inter is offereing money, and a decent striker in return. Obinna has potential.

I'm still not convinced until Sauzo is unvieled to the media in an Inter kit. This guy is a monster, I believe he is the real deal.

He's great...hopefully he doesn't sit on the bench behind Ibra and Adriano!

I'd play him over Adriano for sure, at least until he proves himself.

Adriano will have to prove himself now that Suazo is set to join. Or he will find a nice permanent spot on the bench until January when he gets moved.

Until January? I think if they have that in mind, they will move him out much sooner.

News in Italy has Roma and Fiorentina interested in Adriano. He might not leave Italy now.

I think Roma were interested in Adriano a while back and nothing came of it. I don't think Inter will let Adriano go, especially if Suazo doesn't get signed.

Latest word is that Adriano will move now, if this Sauzo rumour is true.

Do you have any links online that confirm Adriano moving?

Suazo, his penalties apart, holds a massive stat of one goal for every 535 minutes played this season, or in other words, one goal every sixth game

I got this on another forum, and that Suazo is no better than Adriano.

What do you all think about this?

This season, yes.

Overall his career in Italy is not an accurate reflection of this.
